Good Evening

Could SKS with access to the Victorian BDM's please have a look for a
marriage or death of Thelma Elizabeth Eade nee James which may have taken
place after 1956? She disappeared from NSW and supposedly went to Victoria.

A quick search of the online indexes produced nothing, but the CDs may be
more reliable. Nil result on the Ryerson Index either, but its resources
for Vic are limited.

In 1943 she was on the Electoral Roll for Carrathool in the Riverina.

Hello Vickey

I have nothing on Thelma Elizabeth JAMES. In the early 1950's she was living
at 106 Flinders Street, Darlinghurst. She had separated from her husband,
James Eade from Hillston, three years prior and was probably living in
Victoria by 1956. James was petitioning for a divorce, and he re-married in
1957. I'll do further checking tomorrow.

Strangely, I have no more information than I did yesterday for Thelma
Elizabeth Eade.

She may have married in Victoria after 1950, as their records only go up to
1942, and their deaths up to 1985.

or so I thought until I read on the VIC BDM website at;
http://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/home/family+history/family+history+faqs/
in the "What index entries can I access online?" section;

"Birth records go up to 100 years ago, while marriage records go up to
60 years ago. Our death records go up to 1985."

So I thought, 'this is 2013 so 60 years ago is 1953 so I should be
able to search marriages from 1943 to 1952'.

However on looking for Eldridge marriages from 1943 to 1952 their
search site shows "You have not been charged for this search, as no
results were found."

My only thought was "bull" + (the brown stuff that comes out of the
bull's rear end).

So it turned out you're still correct, unfortunately.
