You have asked about this previously in other forums. While you apparently don't live in Melbourne, you have been advised to look out for the Sands and Mac directories from the time, as they list house numbers with reference to street intersections.
Maybe time to stop asking and get to a place where you can answer your own question.

It is wise if you were to indicate your area so that if SKS here knows
of Libraries that could help you --- they would do so.

I can only presume -- from memory -- that you are requesting
information of some 70 / 80 years ago.
We may not have been around then --- just a thought.
