Does anyone on the lists know of an early property called Glenmorrison in
northern Tasmania (I think) Thomas Murphy a miller was living on this
property in 1841. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Hi Irene,

Try a Google search on the name - you'll find a treasure trove.

from Bailliere's Tasmanina Gazetter and Road Guide of 1877 :
GLEN MORRISON RIVULET (Co. Somerset) is a stream rising in the
Eastern Tiers, and flowing W. into the Macquarie River at Mona Tower

Hopefully your property was near this river, may have been named for
it.(The river also links into the south esk)
