I was very interested to read of your interest in St Helena.

If you write to the Custodian of Records on St Helena they will for a modest fee
search through their records of births and deaths etc.... for a modest fee.
They need a rough idea of dates, at least within a few years.

Write to Custodian of Records
Governement of St Helena
St Helena Island
South Atlantic

It may take two or three months before you hear from them.

In England where I live St Helena Newspapers are available on microfiche but the
earliest one I can find starts in 1852? There maybe more on microfiche in South
Africa.

I can also recommend a very interesting book on the history of St Helena which
describes all the different nationalities that have been part of the life there.

It is called- St Helena 1502-1938 by Phillip Gosse
