Broadly reported today, Alexi Navalny - Putin nemesis - has
"died in prison". Just yesterday he had been filmed alive
and well.
Putin had him poisoned with nerve agent several years
ago, but Navalny survived. When he returned to Russia
he was swiftly arrested, treason-like charges were
trumped-up, and he was sent off to a gulag.
No doubt conditions were extremely harsh, intended to
be fatal. Looks as if that wasn't quick enough for
Putin however.
Navalny got started reporting/protesting the extreme
corruption in the Putin regime. This made him an enemy.
It's not wise to be the enemy of a totalitarian regime.
As Navalny's actions became more political, he tried to
run against Putin for president - but (sound familiar ?)
was disqualified via invented technicalities.
As perhaps the most known face of the Putin resistance,
Navalny has been the major story in the western MSM
today. Putin's stooges have claimed that it was all
the fault of the west/NATO, who turned him into a
foreign agent and spy.
