The message of Medjugorje is this:
All of humanity is called to repent of their
sins and to draw close to God.
According to the visionaries the way we can
go about this is to pray, fast, read scripture,
worship and repent of our sins.
Fasting - for the healthy this can be a bread
and water fast on Wednesdays and Fridays.
But this can also be a fasting from those
earthly things which get in the way of our
relationship with God. If you are unable to
fast on bread and water, you can give up
some favorite activity or pastime, favorite
food or beverage. But do it for a love of God
and with an open heart.
Prayer - the visionaries say that all prayer to
God is pleasing and they do not force any
one mode of prayer on anyone.
Scripture - take a line or two from scripture
and incorporate it into your day.
Worship - draw nearer to your faith
community, return to weekly worship if
you’ve fallen away.
Sin - repent of your sins, take stock of your
life and see where things have caused you to
turn away from God. Then strive to remove
those obstacles from your life.
This is the message of Medjugorje, this is
what is asked of us all regardless of who we
are.

The New York Times reports that Nazi insignia are being
sold in the gift shop of St. James Church in Medjugorje.
Croatian soldiers, the Times correspondent reports,
often pin rosaries to their uniforms along with Nazi
swastikas or symbols of the Ustashe, the fascist
movement which ruled Croatia and that part of Bosnia
during the Nazi occupation in World War II.

Of these, the ones recognized by the Roman
Catholic Church have been very consistent:
Mankind is going down a destructive path, all
humans must convert their lives and return to
God or the current course of humanity will lead
to dire consequences.
So far, the messages from the visionaries in
Medjugorje have been consistent with this
message.
These Marian messages in the past and at
Medjugorje do not ask us to join any specific
political, social or religious group.
The only thing asked is that we all draw closer
to God through our own religious tradition.
That we pray, fast, repent of our sins, read
scripture and worship God.
It is true that the area of the world around
Medjugorje has been the scene of seemingly
endless violence and atrocities. It is also true
that the entire world has been the scene of
seemingly endless violence and atrocities.
It seems that no where on earth is there peace.
Rather than undermine the message, the
presence of unrest, both around Medjugorje
and in the rest of the world, only serves to
strengthen and reinforce the validity of the
Marian messages.
The world has by and large turned away from
God and is truly in a state of chaos. The
messages tell us that if we as a planet return to
the ways of God, then things will improve. If we
continue to reject God's ways and help, then we
will reap the wind.
The choice is ours.

John,
The story of Medjugorje is not the only story that has been and the
news around the world and it's certainly not the only nonsense people
believe in (after all, millions of Germans believed in Hitler, didn't
they, millions believed in Stalin or Marx, didn't they?)
Doctrines are like drugs, they may help you at one point but you don't
spend your whole life depending on them, unless you're really sick.
Just in case, read the following text that was posted on this group
long time ago about Medjugorje.
"There are thousands of Serbs, slaughtered by their Croat (Ustasha)
neighbors, and burried under the ground and in the caves of
Medjugorje, and this pathetic, psychodelic nonsense with "Gospa" is
not what they need. It was never even explained to those thousands of
gullible people, who come to pray there, what had actually happened in
that area 50 years ago."
" The fact is that thousands of tourists were (are) eating burgers,
sipping Coke and buying small plastic Virgin Mary(s), and all that on
top of someone's parents unmarked graves, slaughterhouse if you will.
This is NOT religion, and it is far from any faith. It's a bogus
Vatican nonsense, the savage feast of humiliation and disrespect for
the victims of one of the most brutal crimes in modern history."
I don't think you'd be thrilled to see thousnads of tourists partying
over your father's unmarked gravesite, especially about something so
ridiculous.

This is not specifically the fault of any one group of people,
Christian or otherwise. This is the fault of human nature. People
were fighting and killing long before anyone had heard of "God," and
will be doing so long after the last vestiges of Christianity are
wiped from our memories.
If history has one thing to teach us, it is that war is eternal. I'm
not saying it's a good thing, I'm just saying that that's the way it
is.

Religion. Sheesh.
So they say.
: Of these, the ones recognized by the Roman
: Catholic Church have been very consistent:
: Mankind is going down a destructive path, all
: humans must convert their lives and return to
: God or the current course of humanity will lead
: to dire consequences.
No sh!t, sherlock. But most of this destructive path was started by those
espousing the belief in the christian church...
: So far, the messages from the visionaries in
: Medjugorje have been consistent with this
: message.
And much overplayed. Religion's like a half-decent song - hear it too
much, you get sick of it. Religious spammers, like you, do more to drive
me away from the church than any other source I've seen yet.
: These Marian messages in the past and at
: Medjugorje do not ask us to join any specific
: political, social or religious group.
: The only thing asked is that we all draw closer
: to God through our own religious tradition.
: That we pray, fast, repent of our sins, read
: scripture and worship God.
And if I were a satanist? (I'm not, but for point of argument...)
: It is true that the area of the world around
: Medjugorje has been the scene of seemingly
: endless violence and atrocities. It is also true
: that the entire world has been the scene of
: seemingly endless violence and atrocities.
Often done (moreso in the past, though) in the name of religious
difference. Espousing the Medjugorje messages as the "one truth" does
nothing to ease that.
: It seems that no where on earth is there peace.
: Rather than undermine the message, the
: presence of unrest, both around Medjugorje
: and in the rest of the world, only serves to
: strengthen and reinforce the validity of the
: Marian messages.
Really? How?
: The world has by and large turned away from
: God and is truly in a state of chaos. The
Chaos is simply the opposite of stagnation. In the garden of Eden, man
was content with what he had, but since that first "sin," that is no
longer a viable possibility.
: messages tell us that if we as a planet return to
: the ways of God, then things will improve. If we
: continue to reject God's ways and help, then we
: will reap the wind.
I do not reject God; I reject his self-appointed messengers. And if He
rejects me because of that, so be it.
: The choice is ours.
Uh-huh. First thing I've agreed with. Now, to quote someone else, "take
it to ***.religion." You won't convert any of us by alienating us.

: 1) Is sex bad? If so, why?
In the religious context, it "draws people away from god." (I disagree
with that context, but...)
It's also necessary ("go forth and multiply") so there's a dichotomy
there.
: 2) Mankind is not going down a destructive path. In MANY cases we have grown

Pollution. Destruction of the rain forests. Extinction of several
species a year. All done in the name of greed (and often, with the idea
that they have God's blessing.)

God claims both vengeance, and love; He will smite those who wrong him,

You may correct me if I am wrong here Barbie, I think you are refering
to the croats, during the 2nd world war, that at gun point, joined up
with the germans and policed and slaughtered the serbs correct?
In this last confrontation, and hell there seems to be many coming from
that region, was it not the serbs that cut of the croats heads and
played football with them!. Was it not the serbs that cut open croat
pregant women, removed their babies and replaced them with live cats!
I worked with a croat, and this was his side of the story. I would be
interested in hearing yours. It seems to me that, as he lost over 20
family members, and his land, he may have a gripe here also.
That part of the world is responsible for starting more wars in history
then any other part of the world. I ask my co-worker, can there ever be
peace there? His answer, how can there be, if you see the man that raped
and killed your mother, would you not kill him.
All this silly religious crap aside, and I understand Croats were
Catholic and the serbs weren't, explain to me the attrocities?

The story is obviously too long to be told here but is you're
interested, keep reading whatever is posted here (tons of junk
included, unfortunately). There are good sources too, try Encyclopedia
of the Holocaust and see what Croats did to Serbs 50 years ago,
perhaps that'll explain a lot. As far as this war, butchers were on
BOTH sides, so your Croat friend is telling you just his side of the
story, the madness was tri-lateral, complete.
As it usually goes, big powers had their share of blame in this
madness, and as the time goes by, more and more objectivity is
expected to surge and explain things so that all propaganda crap will
eventually stay aside and you'll most likely find what one may call
"the real truth" in a year or so from now, perhaps a little later or
maybe even sooner, but some stuff is already emerging from the "secret
files" and a lot of dirty laundry is being exposed in the Croatian and
Muslim side as well, which just a year ago was inconceivable. So, be
patient and keep reading.
Take care,
Barb
What part of the world would that be? Europe? The Balkans? Former
Yugoslavia? I would disagree on every point.
I plan on this being the last thing I say on this subject, I hope.
I have to agree with the woman that said " tramping on other peoples
graves!!!
I can't, for the life of me, imagine anyone justifing the desecration of
unmarked graves to sell beer, burgers and little plastic statues.
To me this is yet another Roman Catholic reason to make money!!
I gave up the R.C. religion for just that reason. I do not believe in
paying God's supposed messengers a duty to pray! And I was a damned
alter boy, and went to private catholic schools all my life. I watched
as my Monseignor collected the money, and then in the week was at the
horse race track here betting it!! You people have even set a
reccomended limit for contributions-10% of my salary-I think not!
You will never see priests marry. The main reason for this is the
Catholic church owns the property where the priest lives. In the event
of a divorce the wife, or mate :), would be intitled to half of the
land. That is the true reason, not celebacy! I have never seen a
religion so self centered around money as this one.
I believe that the site of this partying, Marg-whatever, should be shut
down!! You don't see any of this crap going on at the old concentration
camps in the world. Why should this be any different?
regards beergut
It is not religion at fault, but the abuse of the same at fault. It is
always men concoting and acting out inhumanity to man. We were provided
with only the possibility of perfection and a guidebook. What we have
chosen to do is our own sin.
> Over the past 150 years or so the Blessed
> Mother has appeared in many apparitions
> around the world.
You are calling "Blessed Mother" what Jews call
a whore - since she gave the birth to Jesus
(by the way historical-archeological evidence
of Jesus existence was never proved) without
the legal husband - who by the way was Joseph.
We the Bosnians are not religious, since the
religion especially the catholic popes were setting
up crusade wars against us.
Secondly, if we believe, than we believe in Allah the
allmighty. Whether Allah is your God (since you,
we as well, think that there is only one God)
is up to you to decide.
Muslim religion is the very practical and the best one.
It teaches people how to be clean, how to be fit, and
how to organize the society and be the good citizen.
While you Catholics discuss what God thinks about the
world and why He does not arrange it better.
We do not want to be involved in your quarrels
with Jews, nor anybody, about what you understand God
looks like, what He thinks, and how He rules. We know
and understand that Medjugorje is a political trick
to push imbeciloidal Catholics to fight for their
stupid ideas in Bosnia. Those Catholics (I had
the opportunity to meet few of them) who resorts
to such nonsense are uneducated people without natural
intelligence therefore very forcefull in "proving" their
ideas. Since history have shown that such individuals
committed the worst possible crimes - in the name of God -
(in Mostar they shell the Muslims part of the town from
the church monastery in Balinovac) those individuals
in Bosnian view are subject to prosecution by the Law.
Now look at the nonsense of your own posting:
>

This statement of "destructive path" misses to say
even in your own view, what it is. New cars going
300 km/hour are improvement vs. 30 years old going
only 200 km/hour.
Internet, which you use, allows any individual to be
heard (including your stupidity) bringing the freedom
of speech to everybody on this planet. Etc. etc.
And then your forcefull statement: "all humans must
convert their lives and return to God ...", else
"... dire consequences." You are treatening a human kind.
Watch it! Treatening is a punishable crime by Laws of
any country (Bosnia not exempted).

Sex also transmits many diseases, and if done irresponsibly can lead to
unfortunate pregnancies (where the child won't have a proper upbringing,
either because it's parents don't care, or because they care but can't

Deserts are just another type of environment; many have learned how to
live in such environments.
Man is not immortal; therefore death is inevitable. Seeing death as a
bad thing is, IMO, wrong. It is an essential part of the life cycle - the
end, where (theoretically) all the resources used up by the living are
returned to the environment to provide for the next generation.
War solves problems such as depressions (lots of jobs in a wartime
economy) overpopulation (wars tend to reduce the local populations) and
occasionally succeeds in writing injustices caused by other nations.
: : 3) Please, show me where in the industrialized world, exists a state of chaos.

Government isn't chaos; it's an over-abundance of order (often trying to
go so far along the order-spectrum that it circles back to the appearance
of chaos.)

And why would he want to destroy those who "cannot live in the holy city?"
Would it not be more beneficial to keep them in the "worldly city" or
whatever, on the chance that they may correct their ways and find Him
again?
And if God is coming back, does that indicate that he's abandoned us for
the time being? And if He has, what "right" (aside from being
all-powerful) does he have to rule us?
Yes and people see UFO's too but we don't run and worship them.

Mary did nothing for the Christion Church and the teachings about
her were only borrowed from the pagans who were worshiping anouther
goddess...Most Christian Churches (Catholics Excepted) don't have any
place for Mary in their Religion, But Rather Christ is more importent.

Yes we do have a choice... Mary or Christ

It is not Mary or Christ. Consider for a moment that Mary by bearing
Jesus held the entire universe in her womb. She was chosen to give
birth to God to fulfill a purpose "that we should not perish but have
everlasting life" that we might have the message of Christ on how to
live our lives.. This is what was given to christian and Muslim alike,
to all of the people of the book. What God's purpose is is a mysetery
and Mary is a part of that mystery. It is not Mary or Christ. It is
part of what we are allowed to know, we who have only the wisdom we
imagine ourselves to have and who also have the capacity to understand
that that wisdom is shallow, that our understanding is partial, that we
see only through a glass darkly. Consider even the value of Mary as an
icon (idea) of faith. She accepted what the angel Gabriel told her and
her purpose given from God. That level of faith is a lesson for us.
John,
I will repeat for another time that I still feel it odd, given the
history of the area, that Mary chose to speak in Croatian. I do not
judge by such a statement but only find it les than healing, less than
the purpose ascribed to her, the Birthgiver of God.

Dear Galina, she spoke in Croatian because those she was speaking to
spoke Croatian. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and His mother is the Queen
of Peace. She was asking them for 10 years to the day (June 25/91) for
them to seek PEACE. The croatian word MIR for PEACE appeared in the sky
and stayed there for a whole day when her apparitions first began. If she
wasn't trying to heal the wound pruduced from the 2nd World War between
the occupants of that country than what was she trying to do? This
message of peace is now ment for the whole world, it appears that a far
greater war is in OUR future. Presently the former Yugoslavia still
appears to reject the message of PEACE...her messages are quickly
deleated from their newsgroups as they are from Canadian and American

Russia was too busy with its own problems to be thinking about the
expansion of communism. Remember that the White vs Red civil war was
still to come and the problem of Trotskyism(?) (spread communism) vs
Stalinism (communism in one country) was not solved yet.
In regards to the Balkans, if your speaking of the 20th Century, I might
consider your statement to be true. There were 2 Balkan Wars, one World
War (the Great War) and this latest war. If your speaking of history,
look to the places with the most of it: the Middle East, India and China.
: .> What part of the world would that be? Europe? The Balkans? Former
: .> Yugoslavia? I would disagree on every point.
: You are entitled to disagree. I will stand by my statement that from "
: that" part of the world, starting with the former Yugoslavia to greece
: and turkey, more wars have started then any other section of the world
: that I know of. If I am wrong please feel free and correct me with some
: facts. Before the World war, Yugoslavia did not exist. Was it not
: Russia's idea to consolidate those countries into 1 and enforce

You must be right beergut, why else would God send the 'Queen of Peace'

: John,
: The story of Medjugorje is not the only story that has been and the
: news around the world and it's certainly not the only nonsense people
: believe in (after all, millions of Germans believed in Hitler, didn't
: they, millions believed in Stalin or Marx, didn't they?)
And why has communism in Europe fallen Barb? Gorbacheve said that the Pope
was 95% responsible for it's demise...:)
: Doctrines are like drugs, they may help you at one point but you don't
: spend your whole life depending on them, unless you're really sick.
Yeh..like communism...:)
: Just in case, read the following text that was posted on this group
: long time ago about Medjugorje.
: "There are thousands of Serbs, slaughtered by their Croat (Ustasha)
: neighbors, and burried under the ground and in the caves of
: Medjugorje,
Well give us some facts...proof...and the author and date of the article.
: and this pathetic, psychodelic nonsense with "Gospa" is
: not what they need.
Really..she askes them to make peace among themselves...what do you think
they need?
: It was never even explained to those thousands of
: gullible people, who come to pray there, what had actually happened in
: that area 50 years ago."
Our Lady "Queen of Peace" is a pretty good indication that something
terrible happened, whether it was in that area or not, and she didn't
want it to happen again.
: " The fact is that thousands of tourists were (are) eating burgers,

If there are 'unmarked' graves and YOU know about them, I'm sure if you

to go over there and point them out which I'm sure you would be happy to
do...:)
: This is NOT religion, and it is far from any faith. It's a bogus

The Vatican has nothing to do with Medjugorje except that those who wish
to go there to pray are given proper guidance and assistance by the

you suggest they do??
: I don't think you'd be thrilled to see thousnads of tourists partying

They are not 'tourists' Barb, they're 'pilgrims' and when you show them

I'm sure they will remedy the situation....:)

As another said, you don't speak for all the Bosnians; quit trying to be

: Secondly, if we believe, than we believe in Allah the

: we as well, think that there is only one God)
: is up to you to decide.
I've decided that it's the same being, choosing to show Himself to others
as would best fit their situation.
: Muslim religion is the very practical and the best one.
Uh-huh. Suuuuure.
: It teaches people how to be clean, how to be fit, and
: how to organize the society and be the good citizen.
Funny, I thought that was what the family was for?
And what constitutes being "the good citizen" and organizing society?
I'm pretty sure your definition of those will differ from mine, so I'd
like to hear them.
: While you Catholics discuss what God thinks about the
: world and why He does not arrange it better.
I've decided that he left the world for us to arrange, as a test of our
"worthiness." The crap in the world is our own fault, and not that of
God. I've also decided that organized religion, *all* organized religion,
is inherently corrupted.
: We do not want to be involved in your quarrels
: with Jews, nor anybody, about what you understand God
: looks like, what He thinks, and how He rules. We know
"We" again; apparently, that's inaccurate.
And "you" have apparently thrown yourself into the "quarrel," and have
done so behing the cowardly shield of a differing religion.
: and understand that Medjugorje is a political trick
: to push imbeciloidal Catholics to fight for their

Oops. I've never seen it that way; I saw the Medjugorje thing as an idea
offered up to believe in. Whether or not one fights for it should be that
persons choice (again, though, organized religion will often try to push
it's followers into the fight. That's the organization at fault, not the
believer.)
And have you never fought for an idea you believe in? Or are you so
arrogant as to believe that your ideas are not as stupid and imbecilic as
that of the Catholics?
: the opportunity to meet few of them) who resorts
: to such nonsense are uneducated people without natural
: intelligence therefore very forcefull in "proving" their
: ideas. Since history have shown that such individuals
: committed the worst possible crimes - in the name of God -
: (in Mostar they shell the Muslims part of the town from
: the church monastery in Balinovac) those individuals
: in Bosnian view are subject to prosecution by the Law.
Again I say it's not the individuals; it's the organization that
pushes / threatens / brainwashes it's followers into taking such actions.
: Now look at the nonsense of your own posting:
: >
: > Of these, the ones recognized by the Roman
: > Catholic Church have been very consistent:
: >
: > Mankind is going down a destructive path, all
: > humans must convert their lives and return to
: > God or the current course of humanity will lead
: > to dire consequences.
: This statement of "destructive path" misses to say
: even in your own view, what it is. New cars going
: 300 km/hour are improvement vs. 30 years old going
: only 200 km/hour.
New cars going faster doesn't argue against the "destructive path" idea.
In fact, 300km/hr cars may be a technological improvement, but it costs
many more lives due to human stupidity than the 200 km/hr cars did.
: Internet, which you use, allows any individual to be
: heard (including your stupidity) bringing the freedom
: of speech to everybody on this planet. Etc. etc.
And also giving the "idiots" a voice with which to speak their idiocy, and
draw others into it. Or did you not hear about the Heaven's Gate fiasco?
I'd say the internet balances itself out, as neither a good nor bad thing.
As with all human inventions it's neutral, with the good or evil being
part of the user, not the medium. (IE guns don't kill people, people kill
people. Guns just give another way to do it...)
: And then your forcefull statement: "all humans must
: convert their lives and return to God ...", else
: "... dire consequences." You are treatening a human kind.
He's warning human kind. The speaker (supposedly either God, or Mary) is
the one doing the threating. If, say, I said I was going to go kill you
(this is hypothetical, I have no such intention) and a friend of yours
overheard me and said to you "So-and-so is going to kill you" would he be
threatening you?
: Watch it! Treatening is a punishable crime by Laws of
: any country (Bosnia not exempted).
ANd it's one of the hardest crimes to punish.

: What does it mean being closer to God? Not joining
: any religious group. If it is worship Allah is it OK?
Speaking for my own interpretation of John's message from Medjugorje, I'd
say it is if you believe that Allah is God. (Remember, that god is just a
title; the christian/catholic text just names God after his title.)
: > It is true that the area of the world around

: It is not true that the entire world has been the
: scene of seemingly endless violence and atrocities.
Name a place populated by humans that hasn't been the scene of violence
and atrocities.
: Catholic religious zealots comitted those attrocities
: whereever and whenever they appeared, from Mexico to
: Philipines.
And in north america (years before the catholics got here) the native
american tribes fought amongst each other for land, food, slaves (for some
tribes) etc. In europe, the Romans tried to conquer the entire world
before christianity had even begun to speak out. It's not the Catholics,
it's the greedy people at the top of the power structure pushing the
zealots into the fight.

Dear Gordan,
The difference between Bosnian and Bosniak is of no great importance at
all. It has the same meaning, just the same as if I call you
unintelligent or stupid. It says the same thing. The person crying
from his heart was lead by God to complain of the injustice done to
him. And you Mr. what could one tell you for your obscenities eh? Just
remember there are Moslems and there are Moslems. I don't know if you
are one, but if you are one and go against you own brother than you are
not one. simple logic. You might call youself anything you like, but
the moment you open your mouth you show who you really are. So don't
post unless you have somthing clever to say, something we could all
learn from in our search for the truth, whether we are catholics,
muslims, Hindu, Jews or whatever. There are some of us who are looking
forward to a real NEW World Order, based on equality, mutual respect,
understanding and love.

You are an idiot!!! Canadian soldiers gave up their lives try to help

Of cause there are best things - that's were the hierarchy comes
from. We can discuss which thing is better than the other. However,
we do not need to fight. And here we are: guys who do not have an
argument, who do not want to change toward better (both the signs
of lower minds), usually want to enforce their truth. They are not
for co-existence, since the "right guys" always pose the treat for
the "bad guys". That's always the cause of conflict.

Bosnian sex scandal tars Canadian army
CANADIAN soldiers on peacekeeping duties in Bosnia have been accused
of engaging in drunken rampages of looting and sexual abuse, including
attacks on patients in a mental hospital, writes James Adams.
Forty-seven soldiers from the 12th Armoured Regiment may be discharged
following an official report last week. Another 10 soldiers involved
have already left the army.
The soldiers were stationed at the mental hospital at Bakovici to
protect doctors and nurses. But they attacked patients, stole from
locals and had sex with nurses and interpreters. There was repeated
drunkenness and a 17-year-old female patient had her head, armpits and
genital area shaved by a soldier. Equipment was sold on the black
market and the loss of a machinegun was covered up.
After two years of internal investigations, the Canadian defence
minister appointed an outside investigator. His report attacked the
military for delaying investigations.
The scandal is just the latest to hit the Canadian armed forces, who
were accused of torture and murder during peacekeeping operations in
Somalia. Last year General Jean Boyle, chief of defence staff, was
forced to resign after allegations that he had allowed a cover-up.

Speaking of the Balkans, live long and prosper.
Broom,
I think you make a small mistake here in interprettion of Gordan's
words, because he is right when he says small differences in spellin
like between Bosniak and Bosnian were reaosn for strife. If one wants
only BOsian for example, maybe one person wants a Muslim only state and
to even convert those people of no religion? If one wants only Bosnian
one might only want a Christian state, perhaps even a simply Serb or
simply Croatian one. So you are right when you say the spelling
shouldn;t matter and he is right when he says spelling causes problems
so one should be careful. You are both , however, speaking form
INCLUSIONIST perspectives, which is the self same good goal.
Mirza,
If Eskimos don't have any anger, how do they know what anger
is?

I meant if one wants, first BOsniak

More i think about it, Gordon is only half right. We have to LEARN not
to make the distinctions, no matter what has happened. For example,
when someone says the Serbs don't deserve to live in the Krajina anymore
becuase of what they did or because many left in fear of their own
choice, what do we say? We say we have learned to exclude and if we say
that then we say that we have learned that we can be excluded if the
Serbs wish then to exlcude some other people.
The people are not the problem, the leaders are and the people who have
not learned to say no, to fight for right.
Atrocity directors
Atrocity committers
Atrocity enablers
Atrocity deniers (also enablers)
Atrocity apologizers and limiters (inclusive of those people who tend to
look at regions "strategically" rather than as full of real, live
people).
All these are guilty and yet there are differences in the guilt in this
group. I would put them in that order and would say that anyone who did
not do what they could to act against or speak out against what was
happening. In reading the book Mass Rape I was struck by the actions of
one woman who said that even under torture and mass mape of both herself
and her prepubescent daughter, the worst thing that a mother could
endure knowledge of on a continuing basis, she did not give information
about where other Bosnians were hiding, how many were their weapons or
identify even the dead becuase she felt that it was better to give her
life than that of several hundred others. What kind of bravery is often
the question and when we look at ourselves, we realize our lack of
bravery.

Dear Mr. Marjanovic,
I would like to point out to you certain things of which you are
probably not aware. You are right, there has been some misconduct among
the Canadian Forces serving as peacekeepers in various areas around the
world. There has been a lot of misconduct and inhuman behavior among
the soldiers of the three warring parties in Yougoslavija. In fact the
atrocities committed by your people against your own people in that war
far exceeds anything that Canadian soldiers can be accused of. I
personally am not condoning the actions by the few soldiers, and I
believe, the majority of Canadians don't either. Granted, the culprits
should be punished like any other criminal as their actions makes them
nothing less than that. Your argument, however seem to be with the
Canadian people.
Let me remind you, it was the government of Canada elected by the
people and empowered, if I am not mistaken, to introduce the idea of
Peacekeepers. Canadian peacekeepers have served more than any other
nation in the world in all hot spots to keep the peace , prevent killing
of innocent civilians, and prevent the spreading of the conflict to
neighboring states, often, very often at their own peril. And, don't
forget it is ordinary Canadian workers by paying taxes that financed
such huge operations. It is also Canadian compassion that prompt them
always to be first in giving a helping hand to anybody in need So, if
you want to accuse the few misfits in the Armed forces, go ahead, but I
think you owe an apology to the Canadian people for having taken such a
rigorous campaign in order to discredit them.
sincerely
Mr. Broom
: That's because they're imaginary people. Tell me about the Inuit instead.
That's nothing more than semantics; the Inuit is what they called
themselves, Eskimo (meaning something like "eaters of raw meat") is what
they got called by others.
Both words refer to the same people - Inuit is just more respectful.
(Which is why I hesitate to make the above statements; I consider eskimo
a derogative term, and don't approve of its use in general.)

Agreed, partially. War has also been the cause of many problems.

: somebody's comment about extinction: sure, it's sad, but 99%

Agreed about the deserts. As I said before, deserts are simply a
different environment, albeit one more harsh than many others.
Extinction, though, is a bad thing. Death of an individual member of a
species, though sad to the ones who cared about it, is not a bad thing,
but the death of entire species is, unless something is replacing that
species.
: 3) You think death is bad? Doesn't it bring you closer to your god?
: What if nobody died? The entire mass of the earth would soon
: be replaced by a really big stinky ball of unhappy people floating
: through space. Death allows new things to grow.
Actually, death is inevitable; that big stinky ball of unhappy people
would soon run out of food, disease would spread like wildfire, and people
would be dying in droves (though suffering more on the way.)

I am a BOSNIAN and I am not a Muslim. Surprised??? Of course that you
cannot understand this, because you mix up two very different meanings.
A Bosnian is a person living in Bosnia (including Bosniaks, Croats, Serbs,
Romes, Hungarians or Eskimos living in Bosnia). On contrary, a Bosniak is
a person of specific nationality (mainly Muslim religion). And stop
bubbling about the brotherhood, for I love my neighbour if he is a good person
regardless of his religion or nationality.
And these stupid things, as you say, of mixing up two meanings, or
purposefully changing their meanings are one of the major causes of this
bloody war.

Since God must think it is very necessary to send the Blessed Virgin Mary,
thousands of times in succession, to every part of the world, to guide
humanity away from it's own evermore reliant dependancy upon the Satanic
forces of hate and self destruction...yes, "I believe" it is the "only
path" God is leaving to humanity, either you accept what she is telling us
or you will reap the wrath of God. That is why Our Lady's messages
are so very important to the world. Each individual soul is asked to make an
effort to reunite itself with God..to whom it belongs..now..because the
time is short and God's patience and tolerance with the sins of humanity
has ended, we are now faceing the choice between absolute good or absolute
evil, there will be NO...middle ground...!.
Rap. I agree with your first paragraph. The average person thinks that
World War I started in the Balkans but they do not know what roles the
Great Powers (Russia, France, Germany and Austria-Hungary) played to
instigate the conflict. Why you think the United States was very
involved at this stage I'm not sure. They were playing the isolationist
game.
Your second paragraph sounds very paranoid. Why do you think this? Why
does the UN and NATO fear tolerant muslims in Europe?

The word "Eskimo" refers to a number of different cultures,
peoples, and/or languages, of which the Inuit people are but
one. All Eskimo people in Canada (and those in Greenland too)
are Inuit and speak a language which can be refered to as Inuit.
In Alaska those same people call themselves Inupiat and call
their language Inupiaq when speaking their own language, and
they commonly use the word Eskimo to describe either themselves,
their language, or their culture when speaking the English
language. Typically in Canada it has become less than
complimentary to call Inuit people "Eskimos", but for the rest
of the world (which would include the appropriate usage when
posting to international newsgroups) the word "Eskimo" correctly
refers to all Eskimo languages, cultures, or peoples. The word
Inuit refers only to those Eskimo people who are Inuit (or
Inupiat).
In Alaska the Unangam people, who are genetically derived from
the same Proto-Eskimo people that the Inuit of Canada are from,
are commonly called by the name the Russians gave them, Aleut.
They do not care to be called Eskimos because they wish to be
distinguished from their cousins to to the north, the Yup'ik
Eskimos and the Inupiat (Inuit) Eskimos. They speak an Eskimo
language and they share the name "Aleut" with the Alutiiq speaking
people, because the Russians grouped them together even though
Alutiiq is more Yup'ik than Unangam.
Yup'ik Eskimo people, like the Inupiat Eskimo people, commonly
use the word Eskimo to describe themselves and their language or
their culture when they speak in English.
Personally I've never met an Eskimo who was not very proud to
call themselves "Eskimo", and that includes people from Canada.
I do know Yup'ik Eskimo people who have told me about someone
telling them they should not call themselves "Eskimo" because
they are "Inuit". They thought it was a rather peculiar idea.

For God's sake show some respect and some compassion for the people
found in those unmarked graves. Show some pity towards the families who
have suffered so much pain and continue to suffer because of silly
stories that can only agravate the situation. And stop sending me E
mail with blessings as I already am blessed by one and the only God, the
creator who doesn't need any ministers to manifest his work. Indeed
that would be a poor God that needs the help of magicians pulling live
rabits out of their hats. For Christs sake stop the nonsense, stop
crucifying the truth. "I am sure they will remedy the situation." Don't
you have anything of more comfort to say. You add insult to injury. Is
this the way of the Lord? I will suggest you apologize to every grieving
family, every grieving mother, every grieving child for what you are
trying to do. Should you be not aware of the sin you are committing,
then you are a fool and should declare yourself as such. Remember I,
or anybody for that matter, can go around preaching the word of the
Lord and would do a better job at it than you do. But that wouldn't be
the way of the Lord, that would be outright cheating. The Lord looks
after everyone in an equal manner. Nobody, in his right sense should ask
or accept assistance in this relationship. A third person in any
marriage of two, creates havoc.

O, And God bless you to, John, your loving kindness overflowing with
blood-curdling threats to those who don't recognize the gentle Virgin!
Do you mean in your big threat that the Virgin is going to send the
HVO-Croatian extremist murderers who control her town of Medjugorje to
take their campaign of rape, murder, and pillage to New Jersey and start
doing to little old ladies in New Jersey what they did to non-Catholics
throughout the Medjugorje region?
Will the Virgin send Dr. Vlade Palameto and other HDZ/HVO fanatics to New
Jersey to set up concentration camps along the lines of the concentration
camps they ringed Medjugorje with in 1993?
Will the Virgin send our dynamite squads with Dr. Palameto to dynamite
non-Catholic churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, and shrines, like Dr.
Palamento and his HVO squads did to non-Catholic churches and mosques in
the Medjugorje area: boom, boom, boom.
God bless you, loving John, God bless your campassionate soul.

There are reasons to have smoked fish for breakfast and some

Dear Mr. Broom,
The Canadian government, along with my goverment in the U.S., are
directly complicit in the genocide in Bosnia. Canadian General MacKenzie
was crucial. For two key months, in the summer of 1992, he completly
obscured the genocide and the Serb army was rounding up tens of thousands
of people for extermination. He portrayed the genocide as just a bunch of
inhuman balkan savages killing each other as they had killed each other
for centuries. This dehumanizing and contemptuous ideology allowed
MacKenzie to make people in the West think that Bosnians deserved to die,
that they loved to kill, and that they were as inhuman as MacKenzie,
overflowing with contempt for Bosnians, thought they were.
MacKenzie was spouting the exact ideology of Serbian President Slobodan
Milosevic and Republika Srpska president, now indicted for genocide
committed while MacKenzie was in Sarajevo, Radovan Karadzic.
After retiring, MacKenzie took a job as $18,000 a day as a lobbyings
for the point of view represented by Serbian extremists. When news came
out that he was being paid this money by SERBNET, he was forced to return
it.
I understand you feel superior, Mr. Broom. And you certainly feel
superior to the decent, civilized, and gentle Bosnians who were rounded up
by General MacKenzie good friend, Serb General Ratko Mladic, and
exterminated. And you, like MacKenzie, seem to imply they deserve what
they got.
We don't need the "peace" of General MacKenzie. We don't need the lies
of General MacKenzie. We don't need General MacKenzie covering up
genocide, morally equalizing those inside concentration camps with those
who put them there, and taking $18,000 a day from SERBNET to do it.
When the Karazdic rape-camp at Vogosca was revealed, and it was
revealed that Bosnian Muslim women, there as throughout Serb-held areas of
Bosnia, were being held as sexual slaves, UN soldiers under MacKenzie were
visiting this rape camp, Sonja's Kon Tiki, fraternizing with the Serb
militia members there, and helping themselves to the goodies.
When it was revealed that the women there were being held against there
will as sexual slaves, the UN soldiers under MacKenzie command CONTINUED
TO FREQUENT THE RAPE-CAMP. If you doubt this, I can give you the
references to the situation and to the UN report on it. (The same reports
proof false the rumor that MacKenzie himself frequented the camp; big
generals don't have to go to rape-camps to get their gooding--that is for
lower ranking "Peacekeepers.")
The world is truly nauseated by General MacKenzie as his "Peacekeeping."
Mike
P.S. Do you think MacKenzie will be elected to high office in Canada?
In writing I made inferences about Mr. Broom possibly sharing MacKenzie's
attitudes. I cannot make those inferences and wish to take back the
comment on Mr. Broom's attitude toward the victims of genocide in Bosnia.
I also wish to point out, that the horror the world-wide human rights
community feels toward General MacKenzie should not and does not take away
from the more-than-honorable role that Canadian peacekeeprs have taken in
places like Haiti. Indeed, anyone who cares about Canada's tradition of
peacekeeping in the better sense, should be appalled at the way in which
MacKenzie has associated that tradition with well-paid lobbying for
genocidal extremists and the credible and devastating reports of
frequenting by "Mackenzie's peacekeepers" of rape-camps, even as those
"peacekeepers" ignore an infamous concentration camp just a few hundred
yards from the rape-camps they liked to frequent.

rap: Greetings. In WW I the Balkans was a "side show". It was a
war against rising German and Austro-Hungarian economic and
cultural prosperity in Europe and in the World. The war was started
by the British Empire. USA was brought to the WW I when it
was clear in 1916 that Anglo-French coalition CANNOT win
the war against German-Austro-Hungarian coalition. Freemasonic
influences were exercised with Woodrow Wilson, and USA
came into Europe to defeat Germany in a most humiliating and
unprincipled manner! That was the first GIANT mistake of
US foreign policy of the 20th Century. Woodrow Wilson shall
go down in history as an evil scum, when the true history of
the 20th Century gets to be revealed (REVISED!). USA should
have remained in isolation during the WW I and let British reap
the fruits of their warmongering. Miserable ending of WW I
caused WW II.

Oh, I see you antiicpated my answer to your previous post. Yes, by all
means. If you cube that steak and mairnate it in olive oil, wine
vinegar ( 4 to 1 ratio), oregano, parsley, crushed garlic black pepper
and then alternate the meat with smallish onions, cubes of pimento
pepper, green pepper, cubes of summer squash and zuchini, you can
marinate the whole for shishkabob and stretch the meat further so that
you can almost make a party of that steak.

Wow, what a great day it has been here...summer is finally come and
the birds are singing :)
(Snip)
: rap: Greetings. In WW I the Balkans was a "side show". It was a
: war against rising German and Austro-Hungarian economic and

History implies that Germany was responsible for the start of that war.
Can you show actual proof of your "theory"?

2 points strike me as odd here; first, "freemasonic influences" sounds
like conspiracy-theorizing. I'm a little behind on my conspiracies, so
can you enlighten me as to that one?
Second, _any_ military defeat is seen as humiliating and unprincipled by
the losers. From the point of view of the "Anglo-French coalition," this
would have been seen as a "triumph of honor and justice."
That was the first GIANT mistake of
: US foreign policy of the 20th Century. Woodrow Wilson shall
: go down in history as an evil scum, when the true history of
: the 20th Century gets to be revealed (REVISED!). USA should
: have remained in isolation during the WW I and let British reap
: the fruits of their warmongering.
Revision would be the correct word here. Wilson is no more evil than any
political leader who involves himself in a war. Whatever his reasons.
: Miserable ending of WW I
: caused WW II.
Indirectly; it set the stage for Hitler's rise to power, which in turn
was responsible for WWII. (Unless, of course, your "revised history" can
prove otherwise.)

I still have to agree with Chris on this; sounds like paranoia
propoganda. So, since we seem to be heading in that direction, who killed
Kennedy? (I'm guessing that if you were to answer this, you'd say the CIA
acting under freemasonic influences...)
: Muslims are not supposed to be left alive if they have white
: skin, blue eyes, blond hair, european origin, high education degrees,
: and so on and so forth -- muslims are supposed to be ruled

Sure. Whatever. (And I used to think I was paranoid about government
conspiracies...)

If what he says is the "truth," does that indicate your position on this
as well?
This whole thing is starting to remind me of both the commie-capitalist
bashing of the cold war, and the "jewish conspiracies" of pre-WWII
Germany...
