TANUSEVCI, Macedonia, March 8 (AFP) - Around 300 US troops of
the NATO-led Kosovo peacekeeping force entered the Macedonia village
of Tanusevci Thursday after ethnic Albanian rebels battling Skopje's
troops withdrew, an AFP reporter on the scene said.
AFP had earlier confirmed that the rebels, estimated by NATO to
number up to 150 men, had quit the village near the Kosovo border,
from where they had engaged in regular firefights with Macedonian
security forces.
