We must shut down Usenet to replace
it with something more able to protect
our words and thoughts no matter what.
I regard the current endemic level of
censorship on Usenet to be utterly
unacceptable. There will be a point
where free communications are no longer
possible, when nothing is certain or
consistantly replicated... and then
we must shut down Usenet by whatever
means necessary. And replace it with
something that cannot be interfered
with quite so easily.
Let's call it NEWSNET and make every
thing on it inviolable and untouchable.
ALL authors deserve the protection of
their words no matter how absurd or
ill concieved. Newsnet will preserve
our right to write regardless of race,
creed, religion, politics, technicians
and other censors. Newsnet.
