"Eugene, Oregon (AP) - A man accused of threatening to kill
President Clinton during a visit here last June has been indicted
by a federal grand jury.
"Jeffery Loring Pickering, 49, is being held without bail in the
Lane County Jail is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in U.S.
District Court. If convicted, he could be sentenced to a maximum of
35 years in prison.
"Pickering, who was indicted Friday, was arrested by the FBI
last week in connection with telephone threats made in the days
prior to Clinton's arrival on June 13.

As for Mr. Druge not being on CNN, well perhaps somebody woke
up the fact he is often a liar, or at least doesn't know the
truth. I would ban CNN if they had Druge on, not having him on
only puts them up a notch.

CNN has admitted in the past that what they aired was not true.
Remember the nerve-gas story earlier this year? There are more

Because it took a couple of days to get their report and build a concensus
for attack. Because prompt action was needed. Because the Muslim holy month
of Ramadan is near, and Arab support for bombings would dwindle if they were
carried out during a holy time. Same deal for Christmas - no one would
support bombings over Christmas. Because the longer you wait to act act the
weaker your moral justification. Because the impeachment hearings are
scheduled to start ( even though a vote hasn;t been taken yet!!) in mid

You're right prompt action was needed. Bill Clinton was 24hrs away from being impeached.
He simply did what he's been doing for the last six years. I'm sure you liberals believe
it was vital to bomb the asprin factory when and how he did in august. Then there was the
bombing Iraq within a week of the '96 election. I know the timing of that had nothing to
do with the election.
