Civilized Society - part three (Draft Version)

27 May 2003

Decent people do not need control,

except mildly and occasionally, to free them from and keep them
free from

- known or unknown -

too strong influence on them by criminal minds.

Criminal minds need constant control and watching and regulations,

to hinder and to diminish the criminal acts intended or executed
by them or assisted by them.

They do not become sane, neither by any form of therapy, nor by
being born again.

But they can be educated, in a commanding but friendly way, to know
and to follow the restraints and regulations imposed on them in a
civilized society.

From this, you get the organization of a civilized society.

Criminal minds have been adequately understood and described in the
referenced articles of the original post.

Indeed these will try to have decent people branded as "the criminal
minds" - this you can read in every detective story, as well as in
history. They will try to torture, murder, burn at the stake and so
on, the most decent.

But now, for the first time in the history of mankind, you have the
ability to understand criminal minds, and to detect them.

Hence the civilized society that Plato postulated, has become
possible.
