UK - Wait From 'ER' to Hospital Bed Now Exceeds Four Hours

Bad, decidedly, BUT, UK, it's not MUCH different in
the USA right now. My very elderly mother had to go
to the ER, emergency, room twice in her latter years
and both times it was OVER four hours - more like
SIX - before they could find her a proper room. This
was not some tiny HicksVille town either.
Alas, by all reports, the UK system is going downhill
VERY quickly. The percentage that DIE before even getting
transport to hospital is climbing very sharply - and you
don't know if most of the staff is going to be on-strike
when they get there.
Everyone wants MORE - but the UK just does not produce that
volume of income anymore. Indeed it's been "in the red" for
a LONG time (as has the USA) so you're living on borrowed
bread and circuses. That could disappear entirely ANY time.
The USA is larger, which delays the crisis, plus there are
more 'charity' services to help, but ......
Face it, the old 1st-world had better get more aggressive
about making money. Can't run a System - 'socialist' or
not - unless the money is THERE. If you think you can
just rob the 'rich'/industry more ... there's a serious
limitation to that.
