This year,
The Internet Fiesta
Will take place from mars 14 to 29.
We have proceed to certain modification to the operational ways we
used in 2003.
From now on you will find the Internet Fiesta official web site on the
Tut Y Tam portal at the following address http://www.tutytam.org
This manifestation is henceforth carried by the Club TIP, a French non
profitable association. You should find all information you would seek

Tutytam
Tutytam is a Russian expression (a bit modified) which means "here and
there".
Thank you to remember these important changes.
The tutytam.org portal is the first solid step taken of a long term
project some of the weavers already know: The first Planetary Virtual
Exhibition to be opened in 2008. You all are of course more than
welcome.
As a result we have organised this upcoming sixth edition of the
Internet Fiesta as some kind of a prepcom, that is to say a
preparation reunion, preparing 2008.
The Planetary Virtual Exhibition
The principle that leads the Planetary Virtual Exhibition is to "learn
through seeing and to see through comparing", a phrase pronounced by
Sir Henry Cole conceiver and founder of the first Universal Exhibition
whom we intend to pay a tribute to.
To follow this principle, in every region, real manifestations should
be organised, showing the local expertise in every conceivable
domains. Every manifestation will be broadcast in real time to the
central operational headquarter which will be installed in a city
still to be determined.
The 2004 theme
The year 2003 was rich of all kind of international events, some of
which having altered the image of certain countries. Confronted to
that state of fact, the Fiesta international Committee, still based in
Paris, France, have decided of a new theme:
Francophilia
According to the dictionary "Francophilia" means "feelings of
friendship toward France in general".
For us it means a large space for exchanges which like the weavers'
network is made before all of individuals and independent organisms
such as NGOs and non profitable associations but not of state
representatives and Administrations.
The purpose of "our" Francophilia is to become a space propitious to
encounters and to solidarity in the domains of education, culture, art
- including the art of living -, information technologies, research
and sciences.
It is not necessary, obviously, to speak French to be a Francophile.
It all about, before all, sharing certain values, for example those
offered by the philosophy of the "siècle des lumières".
More than ever, we all need to "learn through seeing and to see
through comparing" and to enrich ourselves through exchanges,
A contest
Within the theme of the 2004 Internet Fiesta, we submit to you the
project of a contest. The actual French government just proposed to
the French citizen to draw a Marianne, who is a feminine
personification of the French republic. This event has been designed
in order to know how the republic is perceived by the French as well
as to create a new postal stamp.
We would like to ask to all Francophile weavers to draw a Marianne, or
any other symbol France may inspire to you, as well.
During the Internet Fiesta, the prices awarding the winners to the
Digit World Contest 2003 will be granted. The Digit World Contest is a
multinational competition between web sites dedicated to the
conservation and the promotion of cultural and artistic heritage. All

Nous voici de nouveau réuni, face à face, chères Tisserandes, chers
Tisserands, …
Nous nous proposons, après vous avoir présenté nos vœux les plus
sincères et les plus chaleureux, de vous demander de vous mobiliser
pour la sixième édition de notre Internet Fiesta.
Cette année, la Fiesta se déroulera du 14 au 29 mars.
Nous avons apporté certaines modifications à notre fonctionnement en
2003 :
· désormais, vous trouverez le site d'Internet Fiesta sous le portail
TUT Y TAM, http://www.tutytam.org
· la manifestation est maintenant portée par le Club des Technologies
de l'Information Partagée, Club TIP http://www.tutytam.org/clubtip ,
clu...@tutytam.org , association à but non lucratif (Tutytam est une
expression russe signifiant « ici et là »). Nous vous remercions de
bien vouloir noter ces changements très importants.
Ce portail est la première concrétisation d'un projet à long terme que
certains d'entre vous connaisse déjà, la réalisation et la tenue en
2008 de la première Exposition Planétaire Virtuelle auquel vous êtes
tous conviés. Vous trouverez le deuxième événement le Digit World
Contest sur le portail ( http://www.tutytam.org/contest ), concours
international de sites Internet dédiés à la conservation, la promotion
du patrimoine culturel et/ou artistique.
Le principe de l'Exposition Planétaire Virtuelle, créé en hommage à
Henry Cole créateur de la première Exposition Universelle, consiste en
une application de sa formule « apprendre à voir et voir en comparant
». A cet effet, dans chaque région seront organisées des
manifestations physiques du savoir faire local dans tous les domaines,
chaque manifestation étant retransmise, en temps réel, à un centre
opérationnel unique situé dans une capitale à définir.
Dans cette optique nous envisageons la prochaine édition d'Internet
Fiesta un peu comme une sorte de prepcom (réunion de préparation) à
cette manifestation lointaine.
Le Comité International, toujours basé à Paris (France), a décidé,
après une année 2003, riche en évènements internationaux de toutes
sortes, attentatoires à l'image de plusieurs pays dans le regard des
autres, de prendre pour thème la francophilie.
D'après le dictionnaire Le Petit Larousse, le francophilie s'entend
comme « l'amitié envers le France ». Il ne s'agit pas ici de faire un
amalgame avec la Francophonie qui, avec sa connotation post-coloniale,
présume un lien égal entre Etats.
Notre conception de la francophilie trouve son fondement sur une base
plus élargie, étant constituée, tels le réseau des Tisserands, de
citoyens et d'organismes indépendants (ONG, associations,
particuliers, …) et non seulement d'Etats.
L'objectif de « notre » francophilie est de devenir un espace
d'échange, de rencontre, de solidarité dans les domaines de
l'éducation, de la culture, de l'art (y compris l'art de vivre), des
techniques de l'informations et de la communication, la recherche, les
sciences…..
Il n'est pas, non plus indispensable d'être francophone pour être
francophile : il s'agit avant tout de partager certaines valeurs,
celles issues par exemple de la philosophie du Siècle des Lumières
(XVIII ème siècle), sans pour cela vouloir les exporter à tout prix au
risque de perdre l'apport original et spécifique d'autres
civilisations.
Il faut encore et toujours apprendre et comparer, s'enrichir par
l'échange.
Dans le cadre de ce thème, nous vous soumettons une idée de concours :
l'actuel gouvernement français vient de demander aux français de
dessiner une Marianne, symbole de la République, de façon à voir
comment ils imaginent ce symbole dans la perspective de l'édition d'un
timbre. Nous demandons à tous les Tisserands francophile de dessiner
une Marianne ou toute représentation qu'ils se font symboliquement de
la France. Le Comité International fera également éditer en timbre le
vainqueur et nous publierons en ligne et en format livre les œuvres
des participants accompagnées d' E-terviews des auteurs.
