FYI, I have lived in eastern France near Germany the 25 first years of my
life. No coalmines but ironmines i.e. no black landscape but rust-coloured
landscape.
It was a strange environment for a kid; with my pals, we played in the
bunkers to find rifle bullets and German handgrenades. I saw the same
"child's game" in Laos with American weapons.
