Sad story that this accident can be prevented. However, the UXO fund
each year given the the LPDR by international good well donors should
go directly to hire workers and equipments to the jobs, instead of
filtering junks of them for the idiots of few on the top and only
trace of money to do this dangerous job. My home province,
Xiengkhouang has the most unexploded bombs and land mines.
American knows this, that's why they gave a little funding for this
project. At the same time, Chinese and Russian should share the
responsibility to for giving land mines.

i'm sorry to hear such a tragedy, and please give my condolence to the
family. as Cwjmem had said, the money that was giving by the
international to clean up this UXO, should be going to do all the
projects as these. it should not be giving to the top dogs that are
having servants and slaves to clean and pick up their own households,
but to get task done--so that her citizens can live without fear of
these deaths...by UXO.

i too am sorry that a country such as laos can't put its country
together after so many years that the young lady's loved one had to
die because of the lack of leadership therein. maybe the young lady,
the mother or better yet the women therein should run laos...since no
