There will probably be one near a major university.
Hopefully there will be one in or near Banglamphu or Rattanakosin
Island, but if not, I will have to endure Bangkok traffic.
any suggestions appreciated.

The shop is called Nanaphan artist supplies and according to the url
it's in Prajan Rd which runs from the Thaa Prajan ferry pier river
past Thammasaat university on the left up to the centre of Sanaam
Luang.

Yes, I am looking for supplies for artists to make art.
This is a perfect location for me because I love to go to the Buddha
market by the river.
I have past this store many times. It is also by one of the numerous
store in Thailand that seem to sell uniforms and official insignia, if
memory serves.
And there is a buddhist monastery on that street, but its not Wat
Mahathat.
I will be needing high quality watercolor paper.
thanks for this.

If you don't get it there you might consider asking one of the artist who
display their art at the market that's usually held saturdays (as I
recall) at the National Gallery on Chao Fa Road, they tend to be quite a
friendly bunch.
