Stalin's son surrenders his imported Hummer

DMK leader MK Stalin's son Udayanidhi Stalin has
surrendered his imported Hummer before the CBI in
Chennai.

"We will release the vehicle back to the owner as was
done with earlier 33 imported vehicles. The owner will
have to produce it before the court as and when
required," said a CBI source.

The CBI officials said Udayanidhi came to the Chennai
office of the CBI and handed over Hummer which was
imported in 2007 and registered in his name. They said
the car was alleged to have been imported by a Hyderabad
businessman Alex C Joseph evading customs duties. Alex
had imported many such vehicles.

In a nation-wide search operation in March, CBI had
recovered at least 33 luxury vehicles from various places
which were alleged to have been imported by Joseph.
