What's happened to Freeview subtitles, they've not appeared for the
past few days, at least here in Leicester. Usually the BBC channels at
least have them on most programmes. We need to have them in our house,
as my housemates are trying to improve their English, otherwise I have
to watch their Tamil channels via the 'Hotbird' satellite, AFAIK this
system does not transmit subtitles, does anyone know different, and
are there any Tamil channels with English subtitles, or vice versa?

Mine keep dying on one of my Digihome boxes, as it's two years old,
and a daily unplugging sorts it out. However, then it goes into a
prolonged software/EPG update that I have to manually stop.

Get a Humax. Never had any problems with their machines. Super

Oh, and there's been no problem with subs in Norfolk. I record
everything on to the Humax hard-disc with subs and recordings from the
last week are all OK.

The only one I haven't checked was C4's rebroadcasting of The
Cicerones, the Robert Aickman ghost story.
