Do you know how much garbage I read in 'Jara'ed Al mahjaar' these days about
some Falafel makers who think they are actually poets?
How come 'poets' these days can't write as good as poets of early century?
The last giants of our poetry are leaving us..the last great one was AL

we have to to actually read biya3een el falafel...

:(. Indeed. If we can't match their skill the least we can is keep
their memory alive.
But what's wrong with Falafel these days? I go to SCL I get falafel, I
come to SCS I get falafel. I happen to like falafel to have you know :).

Thanks for the corrections. I understand the rules of the hamza on
ikti'aab (blame my mistake on lack of practice). But why not on 'al
masaa'?

Excuse me dear, If I am not mistaken, he meant alhamzah in Alamasa' should
be 3ala sater not on the alif, he is right. But I did not see you putting
alhamza on the alif, all your Masa' were right.
As for ekt'ab, alhamza must be on the 'nabirah' not on the "satir" (as he
said) because alkaser stronger than alfat7 befor ethe hamza..

boubbo ya khyar..bass if I see the face of that salesman in the local
newpaper and under it it says:
maw3idakom ma3a al motrob el 3alami ..al aseel ..sa7ib el qawam al rasheeq..
Abo 3abdo biyyaa3 el khyar fi a7la sahraat el 3omor..then I have a problem

Ok..first, apology please ..I meant hamza 3al nabira not sattir..
Second, and with the risk of making a fool of myself, I will try to show my
aging skills
in grammar.
Ikti'aab: al hamza 3ala nabirra, because of the letter that proceeds it,
taa' maksoora (tee)..and al kasra aqwa min el fat7a..thus..3ala nabbira :)
Al masaa' , I am talking about al hamza over the alif..
that Alif is part of al'el al ta3reef (like in al nahar for example) ..the
A alone is called
alif mosa3ida, wa ta'ti le nottoq al sakin ..in that case, the lam after..so
no hamza :)
which means, Seebaweeh el 3iraaq Saddam Hseen needs some arabic lessons
because of of the hamza he put over the word allah on his flag, but who in
his cabinet would dare correct him :)..
al hamza 3ala al sattir at the end of the word masaa, is there because al
fat7a takes al
hamza 3ala al sattir..and the letter before the hamza was alif maftoo7a..

have my reservations about sho3raa al mahjar..I don't think they were as
powerful as other modern age poems..I laugh every time I read something like
Tashaytan by abou
madhi..or T7ammamta be 3ittrin by Jobran :)..there is no such a word as
t7ammamta
in arabic btw..unless you consider t7ammam as someone who was struck by
fever or
gone through the fireplace chimney and got all that 7maam on his face ;)
with that in mind, provide us with more 3omar Abo Risha instead..will you

Not exactly. Sadam was indeed right . In old Arabic alhamza is part of lafz
al-jalalah (Allah) and was written on it in most of grammer and religious books
up to mid 18th century. This time Al-asma3i of Iraq (Saddam) is right
unfortunately .. absaluetly right..
BTW, I can scan and post portion of our old grammar and religious books
showing hamzah on the alef of Allah. :-)
