Pretoria - A six-year-old schoolboy, who went missing after
teachers at a Pretoria school had sent pupils home early because
it was pay day, has been murdered.
On Wednesday, teachers at Ikeleng Primary School sent pupils
home early as they rushed to banks to withdraw their salaries.
Consequently, six-year-old Gosiame "Nas" Baloyi, who is normally
fetched by his mother, tried to get home on his own but went
missing.
His body was found two days later.
Amelia Baloyi, the boy's mother, intends to sue the North West
department of education over the boy's death.
A traumatised Baloyi, of Lebanon, Mabopane, said when she went
to fetch her son at the normal time of 13:00 on Wednesday, he
was nowhere to be seen. The school was deserted.
"On my way to the school I was surprised to see the streets
without schoolchildren. When I reached his school, there was
only a Grade R teacher who told me the kids had been sent home
early.
"There were no other teachers, not even the principal, as I
searched the schoolyard, classrooms and toilets for my son."
Baloyi said she usually fetched her son at about 13:00.
"I normally fetch him from his classroom because he was still
very young and I did not want him to get lost.
"Now my son is gone and no one is telling me what really
happened to him."
Baloyi said after a two-hour search for her son on Wednesday,
she went to Loate police station to report the matter but was
told by the police officer that she should wait for 24 hours
before any action could be taken.
"I went home in tears and could not sleep without my boy at home.

Two days later, his body was discovered at about 18:30 by two
children playing at a nearby soccerfield.
The Mabopane child protection unit's Inspector Shadrack Nthekang
said a murder case had been opened. No arrest had yet been made.
He said they had not yet established how the child was killed
because of the state of decomposition.
Nthekang said the investigation revealed that other children had
seen the boy climbing into a blue Toyota Venture after being
called by an unknown woman.
Outraged residents gathered at the family house on Saturday and
urged teachers to "get their act together".
The school principal, Dede Maponya, declined to comment.
Department of education Bojanala east region manager Dithakong
Khanye said the missing child case was reported to the area
project office (APO) by the principal.
He said they would investigate the case and proper procedures
would be followed.
"If the school sent children home and teachers knocked off
before normal time without getting permisson from us, this is a
matter which will be dealt with seriously. The normal time for
kids from foundation phase to leave school is 13:00."

I lost my shirt at the J&B Met. Literally. A syndicate of punters chased
me down and tore it from my back after I drank too much and began
taunting them mercilessly after their horse ran stone last. I barely
escaped with my life. In retrospect, I should have let them rip me apart.
I was so certain Badger's Delight would win that I emptied out my bank
account, and Brenda's savings account, and Clive's college fund, and

race was rigged by the bookies and a carthorse from the Cape Flats
walked it.
When I got home and told Brenda that we were officially destitute, she
thought I was joking and playfully tried to wrestle my wallet away from
me. Even though it was empty, real men don't give up their wallets
without a fight and we ended up crashing though the front windows and on
to the lawn where the neighbours hosed us down as if we were dogs.
By the time the paramedics left, Brenda had more or less come to terms
with the fact that we were broke. She wept a little and then went off
and stared for a long time at nothing in particular, as the indigent are
inclined to do.
I couldn't understand why she was taking it so badly. After all, there
haven't been this many impoverished white people in South Africa since
the British set fire to the farms and put all the women and children in
concentration camps.

hinterland still proclaiming to be God's chosen people when in fact they
were little more than wagon trash. Trailers were invented much later.
The level of white poverty bothered the government so much that they

What I need right now is to become a beneficiary of White Economic
Empowerment (WEE), a new government policy that has not yet come up for
discussion.
Unlike Black Economic Empowerment, WEE should not be broad-based. In
other words, WEE should not apply to people who think they are white
simply because they are not black.
Being white is a state of mind, not a skin colour, and fierce
interrogation would be necessary to determine whether or not a person
meets the criteria to qualify for WEE.
I would qualify straight away because I am an Inadvertently
Disadvantaged Individual (IDI). In other words, I became poor through no
fault of my own. That three-legged bastard horse is to blame.
Others who automatically benefit from WEE would be men who have been
financially ruined by divorce lawyers acting in the best interests of
their shamelessly venomous clients.
It goes without saying that women are automatically excluded when it
comes to benefiting from WEE because when a man falls on hard times he
is not in a position to slip on a short skirt and wander off down to the
corner to generate a little easy tax-free cash.
White career criminals who have been forced out of work through an
over-saturated market would also qualify.
As soon as parliament promulgates the White Economic Empowerment Act, I
intend making damn sure that I am first in line. I am clearly a victim
of the economic injustices of the past, Saturday in particular, and
there is no reason why I should not be given vast tracts of prime
plutonium-rich land so that I may fulfil my dream of building weapons of
mass destruction in order to level the playing field, so to speak.

interference and power struggles within Rugby SA may derail things,
though. Especially if internal rugby power an money politics escalates
into national race politics. There is always that chance. It is our

Inabsence of that, bad luck and injury, I would predict SA to be
competative in the tri nations and in with a chance to beat France
here at home.
In other words the chances are there to have as good a year as last.

No. She's a very delicate eater. Even with things she likes very
much, like tuna. But she's very, very stupid. She hasn't worked
out yet that while both Mark and I will feed her all sorts of
"treats" when the other can't see, when we are together we maintain

balanced pellets at R85 a few mouthfuls even though we both know she

Which Nation would you say was more technologically advanced, or had
a superior fiscal infra structure. Even you Peter cannot believe that any

civil and social issues, what country doesn't, but to live in Africa
and say the USA is in a state of decay is a little rich for me.

Yankland is broke. It is enormously in debt (partly because of the wars

is going to cut health, welfare and so forth so that poor Yanks will pay
for his adventures. No surprise, but to have poor people paying for
other poor people to be attacked seems almost a calculated insult.

I have to agree on that point, Vietnam was bad enough but to
escalate the lost cause into Cambodia was always going to
be a loosing strategy. The French got a severe bashing in
Indo-China the Merikans never really stood a chance.
I believe Afghanistan was a similar scenario, lots of places
to hide. The Afghans had also proved their fighting abilities
by decimating the Brits and then recently sending the Russians
home with a bloody nose. However the Merikans civil policy
seemed a little better thought out and they got out relatively easily.
Desert Storm went well although I'm not sure why they stopped
when they got to Baghdad. This was more of the arms technology
verses a not too well trained army with limited arms and little
air support. However I don't think you can say the USA *lost*
in either Afghanistan or Iraq (No1 or 2).
However they're not out of either country so I suppose there
is still time.
As for torture and murdering civilians, I don't think the Yanks
are anywhere near as bad as the people they are fighting.
If there are (and there always will be) bad elements within
the army the Merkins do institute legal proceedings against
them. What do the fundamentalists do !!!! Cut off the heads
of kidnapped civilians and video the whole crap exercise. Send
kids in as suicide bombers, car bombs to kill indiscriminately
women, children their own people.
These people are not worth any protection as afforded by the
Geneva Convention. The sooner they are wiped out preferably
en masse the better. My only concern is a lot of Merikans think
that all Muslims are terrorists and this ain't true. Just as all
Christians are not necessarily good or right, it is never that
simple.

The poor can not complain they re-elected him and his government
he made no secret of his intentions.
A poor broke USA is still extremely wealthy in comparison to
most of the worlds countries. It has long been held by many
that first world countries, Britain for example spend far too much
on welfare and national health schemes.The problem is perceived
as the productive elements subsidising the idle, and to be honest
immigrants.

Yes you're right, but they still have almost limitless reserves, my point
should maybe stated as the USA can decay but when it does, the
resultant problems in the rest of the world will still make the USA
