Does the midgan, Tumaal, and Yibir demanding too much? Historically the
Midgan, Tumaal and Yibir were suppressed groups in Somalia. With the
growing awareness of individual rights. The Midgan, Tumaal, and Yibir
have came to understand their collective rights and their participation
in the future Somalia. They have recently organized a political
organization which they have articulated as the basis in which they have
to represent their perspective clans. Historically speaking, these groups
were subjected discrimination, harrassment and sometimes death.
Especially, the Midgan clans who are hard workers as many Somalis and
foreigners believe. People like Margaret Lawrance, the writer of 'Camel's
bell' while she was in former BritishSomaliland. She had direct contact
with the Midgan people in Somalia. She couldn't understand the Somali
clans justifications to put down one of their own blood. Margaret Lawrance was
a graduate of Former United College which is now University of Winnipeg
where I am enroll.

These groups have recently created political organizations which are
intended to unite their clans (i.e., The Midgan/Tumaal/Yibir). As their
meeting ended they came as united and to take off anyone who wants to
violate their rights in Somalia. However, their overall objective is to
bring peace and unite the rest of the Somali clans. Can they do it? Or
are they demanding too much? or are They asking too much? Any idea?
