We get to celebrate by watching hockey after two whole days of 'classic'
reruns.

It strikes me as strange that the NHL takes off 2 days for X-mas.
I can see X-mas Eve, because too many are still finishing last minute
stuff, but a couple PM games on X-mas seem like a no-brainer. It's
almost like the NHL cares about its staff and players.......
I've never been to Boxing day sales. Its enough to see all the crowds on
local live TV. Also, they advertise great prices in the newspaper or online
but when you get to the stores, many or even most times, they only have
limited amounts of the great priced stuff and unless you're first in line at
the door when the stores open, you are out of luck. I was thinking of TV's
and BluRay players, etc. Maybe you have more luck if you're buying clothes
though. My older daughter was over with her family today and that kept me
busy.

It's run by Canadians. Any questions?
Talk about a no-brainer ... sheesh.
That just can't be true...Canadians are notoriously nonreligious
and anti-capitalist....kinda ruins the whole X-mas thing for them.
Yep, we're devil-worshiping barterers. You give us sparkly beads we'll give
you oil.
Your oil is locked up in rocks. I wasn't born
yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry, but I don't care much for Boxing: too violent.

I went to a Boxing day party. The host said, "There's a present for
you on the sideboard."
A Bottle of Lagavulin!!!
I spent the day singing Gaelic songs to the little darling, so it
would know that it was in safe lips...

I suspect that the potation had reached maturation
following its distillation and that imbibition has now
taken place.

Nah. You guys can have all the Malt there is.
I've spent a pleasant evening with 'personally imported' Polish
vodkas, one flavoured with cherries, the other with honey.
'Snobad annat !
Although tomorrow morning may say otherwise . . .

Good luck with that. I have been known to partake of the odd vodka or 2.
The flavoured ones go down all too easily, in my experience.
However tonight/thismornin it's a nice bottle of Australian red wine.
Keepin' the voddy for New Year's. ;-)
