I've spent the last THREE (3) FREAKIN days,
cleaning, sanding, staining and today was *supposed*
to be refinishing a wooden floor with a clear
sealant .
ONLY SOME IDIOT can't read the "CLOSED FOR REPAIRS"
sign, opened the door (can't be locked but it was
blocked and posted with signs...)
and then *walked* around the room on my newly (still
wet) stained floor.
Leaving footprints all over the room!!
There's nothing in there. Why did they have to walk
around??
So I have had to do it all again...
I told the Boss that I was telling everyone that
works on the property (which had already been done,)
that the room was closed and NO ONE was allowed in
there for the next two days.
She said "I hope you don't use the same tone you
just used with me..."
Told her, "Yep, I am and I'm planning on seriously
hurting anyone who ignores the sign and the verbal
warning..." :-)
That's Fair enough.
They can't read. So I told 'em.
And I'm known to be a Man of my Word, wouldn't do
for me to back down on their a** kicking!!
A Promise is a Promise...
I'll try not to enjoy it , though.
Ok, maybe not. <G>

I had a cousin who was a master painter and decorator. Instead of the usual,
"Wet Paint", sign he would put one up with a large square painted with the
same paint that read, "WET PAINT", "Test Panel".

Did you get it done without any more problems Rick?

Nope. The second time around didn't match the other stain
job so I've got a small "throw rug" discolored area smack
dab in the middle of the room!!
Looks like *somebody* will be purchasing a small throw
rug.
I TOLD 'em you can't match stains, that it had to be the
entire floor.
But "they" were in a hurry.
Nobody listens to me... :-(
At least "they" admitted that I HAD told them it wouldn't
work.
It's become a standing joke with one of the owners that
when she says "You were right!", I reply " And you are
surprised ?" <G>
Good thing I've been there 11 years or they would fire me
for being a smartar**!! By now, they should expect it!!
