Sorry, I'm going to NYC Jan 16. Have a good trip.
Hahaha, you wouldn't wanna go there now man!! What can I tell ya, left NYC
while waiting for the great ice storm that was postponed one day after the
other to break and just never seemed to do so at 0 cm snow and temperatures
in the 40s midday Sunday there, then got caught by it between Syracuse and
Buffalo in a surreal, dawn scenery that remebered me of those from
Cronenberg's "Crash" in which the protagonists pass by crashed vehicles in
slow motion "spiced" up with a zero visibility (all these after 3 bus
accidents within just 5 days in NY in the days not so long before, that
made me keep an acute eye on the driver so as to make sure he won't speed
or fall asleep), then got stuck in Buffalo with the QEW closed and state of
emergency declared all over the city, and then finally, home sweet... 40
cm and freeezing 6 F(ucking F's) in T.O. with many assholes having not had
the decency to shovel the friggin' snow off their friggin' property!!!
:(
What I won't do to get back to my home sweet home, isn't it? Risk my butt
to be one of the unfortunate 59 chaps who died during the same timespan.
On the other hand, 'caz I got lot's of time on my hand in Buffalo, if you
ever have the chance to pass by the Metro Authority's terminal, they got a
nice expo of 198 drawings by kids made into tile murals by an artist named
Jackson Gregory if I remeber correctly. Michelle Peebles got a nice flyin'
cock-like rocket (3rd in the middle row from your right on the North wall)
while no other than Heather... Pula (7th, lower row, South wall) showes us
impressively what a... pula can do, hahaha... ;-)

I read an article recently in which 70 homeless Hungarians died of exposure
in Budapest in the past three weeks. I've been checking out the papers here,
and have yet to see a report of a Canadian homeless dying by exposure. No
doubt there will be, but 70 in Budapest is a bit over the top.

That was a splendid scene. I've replayed that video several time now. It is
one of my favourite movies. I loved the concept of tatooing the
steeringwheel impression onto a chest.
It reminds me of this fantastic woman artist in New York (her name escapes
me) who is putting silicon into various locations in her head, de/re-forming
her appearance. She is a sculpture, a living one. I am looking forward to
the advent of human cloning, and its simplification, such that artists will
be able to manipulate DNA and create living art with a predetermined
life-span.

I use cross-country skis.
