'Oy' dedesi, Oy' Mirangula' (?)
at the end of each verse, but even after repeated listenings can't match
much of the text to what's sung. Can anyone help with this, or with any
other information about the song and its context? Reply by email please.
Many thanks,

I believe I have the Riho CD you're speaking about and I have no problem to
match the words. As you probably know it's allowed to put in "nonsense"
syllabels like "oi" "va", "dila" between words in georgian song texts. Here
are the first parts with extra vocals in brackets ():
Dedesh(u) dedesh Miran(u)gula oi
voi dedesh(i) voj Mirangula
Dedesh(u) isgvam sigar(u)khor(u)das oi
voi dedesh(i) voj Mirangula
Zhikhogena(i) Murkhvam(e) tezhi oi
oi dedesh(i) voj Mirangula
Sadil vakhshams murkhvam(u) dzhikh(u)das voi
voi dedesh(i) voj Mirangula
regards
johan
