Ukrainian dissidents Lev Rebet and Stepan Bandera were killed by the
same KGB assassin -- Bohdan Stashynsky -- in the late 1950s. In 1957,
the KGB trained the 25-year-old Stashynsky to use a spray gun that
fired a jet of poison gas from a crushed cyanide ampule. The gas was
designed to induce cardiac arrest, making the victim's death look like
a heart attack.

Stashynsky used the weapon to kill Rebet in 1957; in 1959 he used an
improved version of the same gas gun to murder Bandera... Stashynsky
defected to U.S. officials in Berlin in 1961.

Even if a post mortem reveals Patarkatsishvili died from a heart
attack, if there is no evidence of long-term heart disease police
inquiries are likely to continue. This is because a number of
compounds known to be used by the former KGB can induce heart failure,
but leave virtually no trace. One is sodium fluoroacetate, a fine
white powder derived from pesticide. It causes irregular heartbeat and
breathing difficulties before a fatal heart attack. Patarkatsishvili
had difficulty breathing a few hours before he died and left a meeting
to go outside for fresh air.

Then Patarkatsishvili shifted his attention to Georgia. He stood for
president in last month's elections, without making significant
impact, but he also sought to recreate the Rose Revolution that swept
Eduard Shevardnadze from power in 2003. This time, he wanted to get
rid of the current president Mikheil Saaksishvili, who accused him of
plotting a coup and issued a warrant for his arrest.

You probably overestimate Georgian Secret Service. They are now where
Estonia was back in 1992-93. I remember cry of our "KGB" chef in media
that govt don't give enough money to subscribe all Russian magazines
they need for analyze :-). There is three real KGB's in the world,
CIA, Mossad and FSB. Don't expect serious activities from others.

Even more it is true for your Arab friends. KGB and Mossad killed
selected persons for some reason (surely we may or may not accept it)
but arab terrorists target innocent folks in buses, coffee shops and
supermarkets no matter are they Mossad people, IDF soldiers,
schoolgirls or pregnant women.
