Ok Jatinder is also here now :-) AND more informed.
I went to the Gurudwara this weekend and asked some people
there about all this confusioning stuff.
The response I got was that Sikhs are not suppose to eat
meat. It appears like there is some contradictions
in Gurbani, but someone named Dr. Santokh Singh have
written a book called, "Why man ought not eat meat?"
Where goes through the bani step by step and
explains how there is no contraditions, and it
says that Sikhs are not suppose to eat meat.
It appears like it is well accepted by the Sikhs
that Sikhism as religion requires more research and
updating. But Sikh political problems take
higher priority at this time, and it will
be done later.
Also I was wrong about saying that we should
follow only our Gurus writing not the bani
written by other Saints. The reason for that
is: our Gurus included only the parts which they
"agreed" with. So it is the same thing as our
Gurus writing it themselves.
I hope I have settled this for once and for all.
