He said he was originally from the Washington, D.C., area, but
indicated he grew up elsewhere in the states. Well spoken, with a
mid-Atlantic accent, Hamid said that he converted to Islam at 16 and
later went to Pakistan to study the Koran. “In my travels, I came in
contact with some of the original teachers of the leaders of the
Taliban movement,” he said. “The ideas of the Taliban occupied my mind
a lot.” Six months ago, he entered Afghanistan “to help the Islamic
government” because “the Taliban are the only government that actually
provides Islamic law.”

When asked if he supported the September 11 attacks, he
hesitated. “That requires a pretty long and complicated explanation. I
haven’t eaten for two or three days, and my mind is not really in
shape to give you a coherent answer.” When pressed, he said, “Yes, I
supported it.”

The Alliance then spent Thursday afternoon dropping large artillery
rockets into the basement and setting them off with fuses. “It was
horrible,” said Hamid. “But the rockets were exploding in the hallway
of the basement, and we were all hiding in the cells. The stairway was
just a pile of rubble, and there were parts of bodies all over.” Still
they survived, with no food or water.

Finally, on Friday, Alliance troops flooded the basement with
water. “We spent the night in the freezing cold water,” said Hamid
“Those who could stand up survived, but there were a lot of wounded
who couldn’t stand, and they drowned. Most of the dead down there
drowned yesterday. At that point we had one rifle with 15 bullets and
one hand grenade.” On Saturday morning they gave up. They came out of
the basement, soaking wet and shivering, clambering over the rubble
and body parts. Saturday afternoon they sat and lay in the truck,

i was reading a new york newspaper about a month ago. they showed
this one paki-american boy about 21 years old. he's from brooklyn,
and he's fighting *AGAINST THE USA*! i wish that they do more to
expose all this treachery by the arabs/arab-wanna-bes living in the
usa.
hey habshi, the UK has lots of muslims there. do you think that some
of them are fighting in al qaida?
I have yet to come across an Indian who really likes the Whites -
racial discrimination being a compelling factor. So, reading all this
pro-US more-loyal-than-the-king garb; makes one wonder why? This
country has despised Caucasion and Semite, despised Western product,
when was the last time they gutted a Macker's outlet? Wasn't too far
back. Then there were an Australian Parishner and his family burnt
alive (surprisingly the devil incarnate, aka Taliban, actually set all
their's free). Umm..more to it than the eye beholds.
SKD
Hey Srinivas... do you think you could be more civilized and not
generalize?
The US has one of the highest crime rates in the world, does that mean
Americans or Christians are inherently violent or criminal?
No. So shutty.
Is it racial discrimination or other factors?

Actually, Indians (at least in India) fawn on "whites" unless they
look like hippies.

Western products are the rage, as far as I know.

Right. They need a good hiding.

Sure. What would the Taliban actually do to a missionary who
successfully converted Afghans for years on end? How about a pagan
missionary teaching idolatry?

most of south america, asia, and africa are tribal. there is no
jurisdiction there. therefore, the concept of a crime-rate is
meaningless. what's the property-theft rate in afghanistan?

---> south america and asia are tribal??? lets suppose - so what if they are tribal?? Are you aware that most
tribals live such simple innocent life styles that they dont have locks or bolts or even doors to their homes?? Are
you aware that they lead a happy and healthy and simple life which has been corrupted only due to outside influence
of the so called 'civilized' idiots of this world??? have you ever met a tribal or been to a tribal village in
life??? wonder where all the tribals of australia and north america disappeared ---

---> afghanistan itself was a simple country of tribes who were famous for their warm hospitality -- it is again the
political games of outsiders which has made such a mess out of that country ---
Aryanviking, people don't live in closed wells like mandukas. People are
always in the move for better living. People influence each other. Those who
can't mend their ways are left behind to live like apes.
Thanks bud.

Wrongo! You are just saying it as is your habit to insult some ABCDs
whatever that means.
Anyway, as long as you agree with me...
Thanks bud.
