Is Bibi Netenyahu the Antichrist?
Friday, 26th June 2009
Israel

Netanyahu visit to Washington had a singular purpose, to play up the
supposed existential threat allegedly posed by Irans nuclear ambition.
But instead, he got an earful of criticism from many democratic members
of Congress and President Barack Obama over illegal settlement building
and his refusal of the two-state solution. Apparently, Netanyahu had his
diversion ready.
The Palestinians need to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, he declared.

Recognizing Israel as a Jewish State means Israels Arabs could be
expelled and the Right of Return of Palestinians living in the Diaspora
denied. But then, no one ever specifies which Israel they want the
Palestinians to recognize. Being the only entity in the world that has
not declared its borders, Israel illegally occupies Palestinian, Syrian
and Lebanese land to this day in spite of a slew of UN Security Council
Resolutions.

So which Israel are the Palestinians supposed to recognize exactly?
Israel of 1948? Israel of post-1967 War? Israel that built an apartheid
wall six miles into the West Bank? Israel that illegally expropriates
Palestinian land and transfers it to its settlers? No one seems to be
asking these obvious questions.

A recent poll indicated that 59% of Israelis trust President Obama while
only 31% trusted Netanyahu. About 65% of Israelis and 70% of
Palestinians want President Obama to be actively engaged in the peace
process. The numbers show a clear majority of the Israelis and
Palestinians want peace and they want it now.

Netanyahu made a campaign promise to eliminate Irans perceived nuclear
capabilities by all means necessary. He is dead serious about it. Thats
all he seems to be interested in at the moment. For that, he needs U.S.
approval and financial support, and maybe American blood sacrifice as
well. Netanyahus self-centered views coupled with his arrogance and
hard-line politics are going to drag the Middle East into a nuclear
Holocaust. If not reined in and forcefully stopped, Netanyahu may well
be the Antichrist of the Apocalypse.

President Obama should put the Israeli leader in his right place and
twist his arm if he must and make any U.S. financial aid to Israel
conditional upon Israels peace-making policies. The United States and
the rest of the world must put an end to Israels intransigence once and
for all, force it to comply with all UN Security Council Resolutions and
seriously work towards making a lasting peace with the Palestinians and
Arab countries. Failure to do so will only lead to a final apocalyptic
war a war that everyone in the region is certain to lose.
