MUMBAI: A 49-year-old businessman from Andheri was arrested by the
Santa Cruz police on Sunday afternoon after his former secretary
alleged that he raped her on several occasions.
Bhavesh Mankad, whose import-export office is located at Crystal Plaza
in Andheri, was arrested after victim Bhanu (name changed) in her
complaint alleged that Mankad took her to different places in Santa
Cruz and raped her.
Sources said Mankad had defaulted in paying her salary of Rs 35,000.
He will be produced before the Bandra metropolitan magistrate on
Monday.

It is interesting to note that 63 year old Muhammad Iqbal was
sentenced to 3 years probation for raping his daughter's 21 year old
donkey. Muhammad Iqbal showed no mercy to the donkey which was just a
third of his age. I suspect that the only reason that Muhammad Iqbal
got off with such a light sentence of 3 years probation was because
the donkey was not a minor.

KARACHI : An Orangi man caught on video having sex with a donkey was
sentenced Wednesday to three years probation after pleading guilty for
the second time in two years to abusing the creature.
Muhammad Iqbal was also ordered never to go near the Orangi brothel
barn where Iqbal's daughter Asmaa, the donkey's owner, caught him and
held him for authorities at shotgun point. He apologized to Asmaa and
to himself after admitting to buggery at the Karachi courthouse.
"I'm sorry about what I've done. I didn't mean to do it. It's my
fault. I'm sorry for what I've done to myself," Iqbal said during
Wednesday's court hearing.
Iqbal was arrested in July after Asmaa caught him entering the barn at
an Orangi brothel. She had been staking out the barn for more than a
week after setting up a surveillance camera and videotaping Iqbal's
assault on her 21-year-old donkey named Pyare.
Asmaa said she became suspicious because her donkey was acting strange
and getting infections, and she noticed things were moved around the
barn and dirt was piled up near the donkey's stall.
It wasn't the first time she'd caught her father Iqbal. In late 2007,
Asmaa found him asleep in the hay after assaulting her donkey. For
that offence, he also pleaded guilty to buggery, received probation
and had to register as a sex offender.
On Wednesday, the judge sentenced Iqbal to five years probation, but
he will only have to serve three years as long as he successfully
completes two years of probation. Iqbal also was ordered to undergo
additional mental treatment and was told to stay away from the Orangi
barn.
Asmaa told Dawn she was mostly happy with the verdict, but wished her
father Iqbal had got prison time.
"I've been through hell for the last year and it's caused a lot of
hardship," Asmaa told the newspaper. "There's a lot of ridicule and
jokes going around about this thing. And a person can only take so
much."
As for Iqbal, he must be happy that he was not tried in a Sharia Court
which might have ordered his limbs to be literally torn apart. But, on
the other hand, Iqbal might have successfully argued that in the
absence of four male witnesses, a woman's witness account wasn't
trustworthy even if backed up by video recording.

information on base of a statement made by others, put on news the
journalist should at lest contact that accused to know the truth. When
I will prove false charge than how about my defamation?
I am first of all a part of a noted company; anything said must be
recorded with that lady. There is no proof that she is employed as
secretary!!!! And no can easily say salary will be paid and she agreed
to work and than taken to various places, when she paid than she
didn’t complain. Only this is Extortion by a lay, she trap decent
person for money. No body knows about complainer, how she is? How was
her relation with husband and family? Press Trust of India publishes
without meeting suspect, (not accused, because any person put false
complaint on someone and becomes accused) it’s really disgusting and
shows yellow journalism; attacking on ones constitutional right.
