: Hello everyone,

: Mrs. Benazir Bhutto
: Blawal House
: Karachi

: Dear Peter Galbraith,

: I don't know how to thank you for your so many favours to me and my
: family.

: As you know that the orders of my dismissal were drafted in the JAC
: branch of the GHQ, as it was not possible for me to pull along with
: the Army and they subverted my Government.

: I have already communicated to various friends in the Congress and
: especially Stephen Solarzs', to use their good offices with President
: Bush, so as to put maximum pressure on president Ishaq and the army in
: in Pakistan that they do not disqualify me from the elections, as it
: will be unjust and negation of all democratic principles for which
: we have struggled.

: It would be most appropriate if military as well as economic assistance
: to Pakistan is stopped, and all the international agencies like the World
: Bank, IMF are told to squeeze the Government of Pakistan, and if possible
: oil supply to Pakistan should be disrupted so the normal life in Pakistan
: comes to stand still.

: As long as I was the Prime Minister, I kept a check on the nuclear device,
: but now I don't know what are the plans of the Government.

: The suspension of F-16 and its spares will bring the army to its senses.

: Dear Peter, please use your influence on V. P. Singh the Indian Prime Minister
: to engage the Pakistan army on the borders, so that they do not impede my
: way.

: I wish Rajiv Gandhi had been the Prime Minister of India, things would have
: been easier.

: Thanking you and with warm regards.

: Sincerely Yours

: Benazir Bhutto

Man, this indeed is a cheap shot. I heard about this letter during the
election days when I was in Pakistan. Even the Pakistani journalists had
challenged the authenticity of this letter.

Who ever came up with this cheapo stuff should have consulted an english
teacher before printing this letter. This is not at all 'Havard English'.
This is typical 'Wren & Martin' english taught in intermediate colleges.

I am not a big BB fan but trash is trash. I think BB and NS are both
power hungry and are trying to boost their interest. Use your common
sense and dont waste your time after this rubbish.

Farooq jee:

Feel free to authenticate this letter with Peter Galbraith's office as well
as Benazir's. I have been working hard to plant a TNS mole deep inside
US Senate but have been unsuccessful :) and no I don't have any uncle in
manning the FAX at Bilawal house. You might also want to send a copy to BABY's
ammmaa for verification. Please do let me know about your quest.

How do you know this letter is legitimate ?

What is your source of information?

I'm sorry, but personally, I think this letter doesnt' sound too
original

Please state your exact source of information. Its hard to believe
that a PERSONAL LETTER TO senator is in your hands somehow.

I hope i'm wrong in assuming this letter is not authentic

I read the letter and frankly tanwir, no one in their right mind would write
a diplomatic letter the way this one is written. I know, i know, u can argue
whether BB is in her right mind but truth of the matter is, this is not
the sort of language used in the circles of power. Unless it is authenticated
by an independent source, i'd have to dismiss it as a very cheap propoganda
effort.

Remember the fake photographs of BB and her mom in the 90 elections which
Nawaja and jamat islami (why islami??) circulated from helicopters? This letter
falls in the same category IMHO.
