Dins l’article i a un passatge que m’a particularament marcat:

“Crooked head” is the tribe’s term for any language that is not Pirahã,
and it is a clear pejorative. The Pirahã consider all forms of human
discourse other than their own to be laughably inferior, and they are
unique among Amazonian peoples in remaining monolingual.

"Tèsta tòrta" es lo nom que la tribú balha a tot lengatge qu’es pas de
Pirahã e es clarament pejoratiu. Los Pirahã considèron tota forma de
lengatge diferent del lor coma risiblament inferiora e son lo sol pòble
amazonian qu’es demorat monolingue.
