Evidently you don't know any better than I do. I was hoping that
someone in Finland might explain.

AFAICT "pima" is not a Finnish word. If I may guess, perhaps you mean
"piimä" - a kind of sour milk. If not, then it might help if you could
give some context.

Your answer is good enough for me. I probably misremember the word
from when I was in Finland in 1973.
