[1] The plaintiff seeks to stop the defendant’s two-year “campaign of
terror” against him, achieved through postings on the Internet and personal e-
mails.

[2] The plaintiff is a lawyer who works for the Government of Canada
and resides in Ottawa, Ontario. He is involved in extensive human rights work
relating to hate propaganda on the Internet.

[3] The defendant resides in Edmonton, Alberta.

[4] The plaintiff requests general, aggravated and punitive damages in
the total amount of $50,000.00 for defamation, assault and invasion of privacy.
He also requests a complete retraction of the defendant’s defamatory comments
and a permanent injunction.
