Nudism in Scandinavia is nothing unusual - after all, Scandinavia is
the most open-minded region in the world. It's perfectly legal in
Scandinavia for nudists to swim naked, or to sunbathe either topless
or completely in the nude.

Scandinavian travelers interested in nudism can find beaches quickly
on the maps of nude beaches sorted by country.

In Denmark, nudism is allowed on 4,500 kilometers of coastline and
there are 4 "free beaches" dedicated to naturists only. Norway has
over 20 clothes-free beaches, and Sweden offers about 60 CO beaches
for nudists! Signs are often used to inform beach visitors about nude-
only or CO (clothes optional) beaches.

Where can you find a good spot for nudism at your Scandinavian
destination? More about nudism locations in each Scandinavian country:

That might have been the case at one time, but it is not the case today,
though of course it is very open-minded compared to, say, the USA or
Saudi Arabia.

There are many things in many countries which a) are not technically
illegal but b) no-one does them and c) if someone does, they quickly
become illegal.

Note that above it says it is legal, but then it talks about "nude
beaches". Does it mean "legal at a nude beach"? If so, then OK, but
that's not very open-minded (but better than countries where there are
no nude beaches at all). If it means it is legal everywhere, then why
are there special nude beaches?

In Denmark, with the exception of a few kilometers in the far west of
the country, nudity is explicitly allowed on all beaches. As far as I
know, this is the only country in the world which can claim this.
However, this privilege is not made use of that often. There are more
people (as a fraction of the population) nude at the beach in Germany
(where nudity is not allowed everywhere) than in Denmark.

Also note that in Scandinavia (including Denmark), almost all public
saunas are textile and mixed or nude and single-sex. In Germany, mixed
and nude is the rule. Many public swimming pools have special times
(between once a month and twice a week) when nudity is allowed/required
not only in the sauna area but everywhere. In these respects, Germany
is much more open-minded than Scandinavia.

Maybe Anna, if she actually exists, should actually travel to Europe.

Beach nudity in New Zealand is legal everywhere, but in the populous areas
it is not widely practiced. However the beaches in new Zealand are generally
so big and empty that you can always find somewhere to strip off in peace.
The police in new Zealand will not generally arrest you simply for being
naked unless you are causing a problem in some other way.

This comes from someone's blog. But it does prove that nudity in
other countries is often exaggerated in America. Yeah there might be
more public nudity in other countries but not as much as we are
sometimes led to believe.

Well that may or may not be the case. I always think it is safer when
you are in a foreign country to wait until you see some of the
citizens of that place get nude before you do. Despite what you
might have heard it might not be that way.

It is the case, or I wouldn't have said it. My comments are made following a
lengthy visit there.
And how would you know about foreign countries 'Anna', having never been to
one yourself?

Welcome to Anna's favorite pastime: Ignoring reality.

His second: Heaping judgment on others based on said ignorance.

It's not about Anna's knowledge; it's about his desire to control human
behavior on a global scale.

Translation from Anna-ese into English: "I know nothing but like to
pretend that I do by making broad, hand-waving claims about things I
have no facts about. I use weasel words like 'sometimes' and 'might be'
to protect me from coming off as dishonest."

Basically, Anna hangs flimsy, gauzy conclusions on a rickety structure
of preconceived notions, w just enough blog-quotes to convince himself
that he's doing "research."
