___________________

By Demola Akinyemi, Oshogbo

VICE Chairman of Osun State Council of Obas, the Orangun of Ila, Oba
Williams Adetona Ayeni Ariwadoye (1) is dead.
Authoritative source informed Vanguard that the late Oba died after a
protracted illness at Eko Hospital in Lagos on Sunday while receiving
treatment.
Oba Ayeni, a veteran of the Second World War ascended the throne on
August
4, 1967, after his retirement at the Nigerian Railway Corporation.
The old town of Ila Orangun has now been thrown into mourning mood, as
people were seen in groups discussing in hushed tone the life and death
of
the legend king.
Osun State government is yet to issue a release announcing the death of
the
late Oba.

May the soul of the dead rest in peace.

There are a few vital information missing in this annoucement.

What was the nature of his illness?

How old was he?

Who did he succeed?

Who will succeed him? How is succession handled in Ila-Orangun?

These are some of the information that many will be curious to find out.
