Also, why do Nigerians more than any other Africans generally possess such
thick lips and broad flaring nostrils?
I hope someone on this ng will be able to give some sort of answer.

Dear turbo2lit:
Thanks for your e mail.
The questions you have asked concern the following:
1) Do Nigerians have distinct body odours when compared to other Africans and
other races?
2) If the above is true, is the body odour of the average/typical Nigerian
related to the types of food he/she consumes?
3) Do Nigerian men have thick lips and flared nostrils as described by the
original poster (gr...@negro.com --S.L Daley)?
4) Are the distinctive facial features described in question #3 related to the
the large penis sizes of Nigerian men as reported by grunt?
5) Finally, though not one of your questions, grunt (S. L. Daley) also asks the
following question:
" The men also seem to have a strong funky crotch odour - is
this anything to do with Nigerians having large penises?"
My response:
#1 and #2: Body Odour and Diets:
I doubt if Nigerians "smell" any more than other Africans or Europeans or
Asians considering how seriously the average Nigerian, (even the poor folks),
considers matters of bodily hygiene. Compared to Europeans, Nigerians tend to
shower at least once or twice a day, whereas the average middle class European
(especially the English and the Irish with whom I am more familiar) may
consider a once or twice weekly- shower or bath adequate.
Natural body odour may be related to the level of personal hygiene and
socio-economic status, social habits including drinking and smoking as well as
to the components of the diet. It is well known that certain foods, (e.g.
beans) predispose to a greater amount of flatulence while other foods like
garlic often leaves a lingering mouth odour for hours. Nigerians probably eat
just as much beans as other Africans while garlic at least to the best of my
knowledge is not a major ingredient in the average Nigerian diet. Grunt (S. L.
Daley)'s conclusion that the odour in the trains and buses she rides must be
coming from her Nigerian co-passengers is probably racially motivated and thus
is not worth any major analysis. My own experience in Europe and North America
shows that people in these places 'smell' a lot worse than the worst smelling
Nigerian or African could ever smell.
#3: Facial features:
Nigeria is a multi-ethnic country composed of over 100 million people from
different backgrounds who while sharing some common African features including
varying shades of black and brownish skin colour certainly have within their
population different, distinct and varied facial and physical features. No
single description of the facial features of a Nigerian citizen will apply to
every Nigerian. There are some Nigerians who are blessed with beautiful thick
lips and 'flared' nostrils but these descriptions will not apply to most
Nigerians. Only share ignorance and stupidity will lead anyone to conclude
otherwise. S. L. Daley compounds her stupidity and idiocy by finally asking why
soime "Nigerians have thick lips and flared nostrils." She may as well ask God!
4) Large penis sizes:
I am not aware of any scientific study which has concluded that Nigerians,
Africans or African-americans possess larger penis sizes beyond anecdoctal
statements by white and Asian women who justify their insatiable desire and
preference to sleep with African men by boasting of their 'sexual prowess' of
Nigerian or African partners. It is quite possible that Nigerian and other
African men may be better lovers than men of other races. However, this may not
be related to the size of their penises. I doubt if the question: "Does size
matter?" has ever been conclusively answered by even the best sexologists and
psychologists all over the world. I stand to be corrected on this issue.
The current thinking on this subject is that the most important human sexual
organ is located somewhere inside the brain. Sexual satisfaction in the female
may have nothing to do with the size of the penis. Just as the size of the
driving wheel or tires may not determine the fastest sports or racing car, I
doubt if the size of the human penis determines the degree of sexual
satisfaction a woman derives from her partner. In this analogy, I think the
brain of the typical Nigerian or African man, coupled with his good and
attractive 'manly' physical features, are the factors which make him a better
lover than most men of other racial backgrounds. In short just as the secrets
for the best and fastest sports cars are to be found under the hood, the answer
to the legendary sexual prowess of the African male, real or imagined most
likely reside inside his brain. African men are blessed with some of the best
brains in the human species which when coupled with with their attractive good
looks and the ability to dress well (at all levels of personal budget) makes
them attractive not only to their own African sisters but invariably also to
women of other races. Case closed!
#5: "Strong funky crotch odour" and large penises:
Grunt's question about the relationship between large penises and strong funky
crotch odour betrays the "class" of men she has been sleeping with. It deserves
no further response!
I hope the above responses have been helpful.
Bye,
Quincy

What did you think of this recently posted topic about Nigerian odours:
would you agree that Nigerians have different, stronger body odours than
other Africans or races? If so, maybe it is because of their (or your)
African diet.
Nigerian men seem to have fairly distinctive features.
The poster said that Nigerian men's thick lips (and broad nostrils) could
be related to their large penises (as it is often spoken of). Could there
be any truth in this one?
