In asking for nominations, we specifically set out three criteria: the
nominee should
- be a Nigerian citizen or a Nigerian by birth;
- not be more than 50 years old;
- has made outstanding positive contributions in any field of human
endeavour, especially, but not only, geared towards uplifting the
quality of Nigerian civilisation/development or has evidenced the
triumph of the human spirit via an inspiring achievement.
The nominations could be any number, but the final list will be 100
persons. Not more. From the many corners of Nigeria and beyond, across
all divides, we present this week our selection of 100 NEW Nigerians
who, in deed, evidence that ours is a great country - and could even be
greater. Much greater.....
