PASSPORTS, OTHER TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND ENDORSEMENTS FEES PASSPORTS
REQUIREMENTS


PASSPORTS, OTHER TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND ENDORSEMENTS:

Applications for passports, other travel documents, and endorsements
are processed by the Immigration Section. Passport applications will
be processed within four weeks and passport renewals same day if the
requirements are met and money orders for exact fees attached. Forms
that are not fully completed, signed and dated or with incomplete
requirements and supporting documents will not be accepted.


FEES

The Immigration fees for the various travel documents and endorsements
are as follows:

STANDARD PASSPORT BOOKLET AND PASSPORT FORM CL
(ISSUANCE & REISSUANCE ) $65.00

RENEWAL OF STANDARD PASSPORT $35.00
SEAMAN’S CERTIFICATE $40.00
EMERGENCY TRAVEL CERTIFICATE $50.00
CHILD ENDORSEMENT (PER CHILD) $10.00
CHANGE OF MARITAL STATUS $25.00
OTHER ENDORSEMENTS $25.00


PASSPORTS REQUIREMENTS

i.EMERGENCY TRAVEL CERTIFICATE

Emergency Travel Certificate is issued to Nigerians who lost
their passports while abroad on visits and not resident
Nigerians abroad to enable them return to Nigeria. It is for a
one way journey to Nigeria only and must be surrendered to
immigration Authorities at the port of entry.

ii.CHANGE OF NAME

1. APPLICATION MUST SUBMIT TO THE CONSULATE GENERAL, A
PUBLICATION OF HIS OR HER NAME IN ANY OF THE NIGERIA-BASED
NEWSPAPERS.

2. VALID PASSPORT

3. $25.00 IN U.S. MONEY ORDER

iii.CHILD ENDORSEMENT:

1. MOTHERS PASSPORT

2. PHOTOCOPY OF CHILD BIRTH CERTIFICATE

3. $10.00 MONEY ORDER

iv.AGE DECLARATION

1. PASSPORT OF THE DECLARANT

2. NEED SOMEBODY OLDER THAN HIM/HER WITH SIX YEAR

3. TWO PASSPORT SIZE FULL FACE PHOTOGRAPHS

4. $25.00 MONEY ORDER PAYABLE TO THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF
NIGERIA

5. MAKE PHOTOCOPIES OF PAGES 1-5 OF BOTH PASSPORTS

6. WRITE THE ADDRESS OF THE OLDER PERSON AND THE RELATIONSHIP
ON THE PHOTOCOPY OF THE OLDER PERSON.

v.CITIZEN IDENTIFICATION

1.VALID NIGERIAN PASSPORT

2. Two RECENT PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH (FULL FACE)

3. MAKE COPIES OF PAGES 1 TO 5 OF THE NIGERIAN PASSPORT

4. WRITE YOUR ADDRESS ON THE PHOTOCOPY

5. $25.00 MONEY ORDER, PAYABLE TO THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF
NGIERIA.

A friend of mine wants to know the address and phone numbers of the
Nigerian Consular Office in New York. He is specifically interested in
the section that issues/renews passports.

Anyone who has information on this should please post such to the forum
or to me privately.

Just a small note to those who responded to my inquiry on the Nigeria
consulate, I am overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the response.

It is probably impossible to thank you all individually. At times like
this, one feels proud being part of this forum.
