Netters,

It is with astounding and astonishing suprise that story of the North
wanting to secede hits me. The logic is not only rheumy but really disconsolate
that in such times that I am making efforts to get on with my
Northern brothers and sisters alike, these kind of thing came to
light.

These are the give away signs.....

1. Another law school in the North that will supercede and be better than
the law school in Lagos.

2. The fact that the Kaduna refinery does not process the Nigerian
crude oil bonny, but it is built with hydro-carbon processing in mind,
which makes it depend heavily on imported Venezeula and Saudi Arabia
crude.

3. Another independent WAEC in the North, so that they will not come
under the authority of WAEC any more.

4. The 13% alliance of the oil producing region, this is an incentive
to more negotiations under Arewa republic, and this led directly to
the exceution to KSW when he interfered with the secret agenda.

5. The military power to create a railway / motorway to the oceans,by
passing the Igbos and Yorubas and going directly to the Calabars,
there are even plans to include Calabar and Port-Harcourt in the new
Arewa republic. These will obviously include most of the oil-producing
regions. Oil under Arewa republic is classified as a wasting asset,
and as usual a republic can not be built with too much concentration on it.

6. The most senior Hausa-Fulani rank in the army now is a Col., but there
exist Hausa officers and Fulani officers, who really do not get on,
but the powers in the caliphate are the Hausa-Fulanis. The highest
ranking Hausa-Fulani Brig-Gen Danladi Zakari was sacked shamefully by
Abacha, now the Hausa-Fulanis are furious and will seek revenge. They
are known not to forgive insults as humiliating as this.

7. The most influential northern mafia, Zuru mafia in Kebbi are
furious with Abacha and Babangida, they are mostly of xtian stock and
have produced good stocks consiting of the 2 Maj-Gen Bamaiyi, Lt-Col
Dauda Komo, Brig Gen Ango-Customs, as well as Brig Gen Tanko Ayuba,
because of the turn down of Zamfara state, they were given Kebbi
state, a slap in the face, which was formed around the Gwandu/Birnin
Kebbi emirates. Under Arewa republic, their role is not yet certain.

8. The North do not use JAMB at present to admit the northern students
into northern university. JAMB they insist is meant for the south.

9. Abuja which is 2 hours away from Kaduna and central to Arewa
republic's existence. A ruse in the face of Nigerians, built by
deceptive means as central to Nigeria, despite being 10 hours away
from the former capital. A sheer waste of capital expenditure.

While some Northerners insist that why give away what we've got now
that is certain, for uncertainity. They are of the view that they will
use their military might to stay in power, if the need be. Netters, it
is good to be aware of this various problems facing the North, it is
not fair to always knock them down, there is a lot of wranglings
going on, which due to the quiet nature of our Northern brothers we do
not get to know about.

One of such is the up till now weak and slipshod Kanem/Borno mafia,
who have succesfully slap the whole North in the face and wants to
hold on to power within the new Arewa republic despite being of an
inferior caste within the North, because Abacha - the don hails from
there. But the Hausa-Fulani hate this man deeply, and there was once a
rumour within the Northern part of Nigeria that they actually killed
his first child, considering the deprture airport of the disastrous
and sad flight.

Let's you forget the recently disgraced Sultan by the Kanem tribe,
all these scores will have to be settled in the new Arewa republic,
if you are not aware of t the reason for the insult, this hatred between
the Hausa-Fulani and the Kanem/Borno people dates back from the Sokoto
Jihad of 19th century when Shehu of Borno insulted the Sultan of Sokoto, as
the leader of the claiphate and it's s people consist mostly of aritocratic
bloodline in the north, but the Kanem repects none of this.
As it looks now, there is already an impasse rearing it's ugly head.

This is part of a plan of the formation of Arewa Republic.
Brothers and sisters let's usher them in with open hands..........

As for me I will advice the North not to secede from Nigeria, my reasons
for reaching this decision is based on the premise that just as most
issues are seldom black or white, so are most good solutions seldom
black or white. Beware of the solution that requires one side to be
totally the loser and the other side to be totally the winner. The
reason there are two sides to begin with usually is because neither
side has all the facts. Therefore, when the wise mediator effects a
compromise, he is not acting from political motivation. Rather, he
is acting from a deep sense of respect for the whole truth.

We must remain as one nation, and June 12 should be respected.

Cheers

Odu'a

Ade Talabi:

Nice try! But this line of propaganda will not work either. You cannot
incite the Fulanis/Hausas against their Nigerian brothers and sisters.
Other propagandas, such as "Kaduna Mafia" and "the Caliphate" having fallen
by the wayside, the Oduduwa Think Tank are at it again, inventing new ones
-- "Kanem/Borno Mafia" and "Arewa Republic". I dismiss this as figments of
your imagination.

Rubbish! It is the truth. Can you explain why we have had more Northern
leaders than Southern leaders since Independence. The ratio is Six
Northern Head of States to 2 Southern Head of States.I don't believe in
any Oduduwa think-thank or whatever. All I am saying is that the North has
dominated the political scene for far far too long.I also know that
Southern leaders who mortgage their conscience neely-weely contributed to
this political domination.May be you will get what I am saying!

It is sad that,at this time in the history of our life in naija people are
still talking about another republic. We should just stop waisting our time
by talking about a unity that does not exist.Perhaps it exist abroad I
dont know. But going back home the story is different.
