Hello netters,

Last night, I had the great pleasure of attending the lauching of the
Los Angeles chapter of the IKA union - an organization of indegenes of
the Ika Local government area of Delta state. It was a remarkable, well
organized, well supported and fun filled event.

You would have been very impressed by the great support provided by
other Nigerian organizations, accross ethnic, religious or regional
lines. You would have been proud.

Of course after all the serious matters came an evening full of
traditional music and dance. I mean DAAANNNCE. The MC boasted that
"Ika women are the best dancers in the world," he was not lying.

Of course then came the announcement that Shina Peter would play at
Wildham Hotel, Century Blvd., Los Angeles, on Saturday, November 16,
1996. So bring your dancing shoes. The special guest artiste is Los
Angeles based Eugene De Coque - the younger brother of Oliver. So
we'll all party in unity again.

Fuji Fans, Abass Akande aka OBESERE is also coming to LA in November. I
let u know once I confirm the date and location fom the promoter.

SO IF U BE PARTY ANIMAL, MOVE TO LA, JARE!

okn, Bolaji,
I am waiting for your analysis of this piece. Less I forget okn, I
hope you ask for all the definitions of the union as well. I will reply
to your questions to me after I read this reply

jd, jd,

So now you rope me in with Bolaji! Some time ago it was Bolaji who roped
me with Joseph Dahip (he ropes me in with anything bothering him anyway).
Anyroads, this IKA Union thing is well known. In Lagos, I knew of an
IKA Union. Some of my acquaintances from the area were members.

If you do not want to respond to my questions, no dread. Ee no matta.
I have learned enough about Zumunta from others much more willing to
discuss it (and to have a conversation on it) than you.

Thank you. Oh the roads, welcome to the "lower case" club.
