IBADAN, Nigeria (Nov 28, 1996 - 12:54 EST) - Nigerians will be literally
praying for victory in the
African Champions' Cup final when their team Shooting Stars play Zamalek
of Egypt here on Saturday.

"We will have a special prayer session on Friday here in Ibadan. Moslems,
Christians, Hindus and Bhuddists will converge and pray for the club's
victory, especially for our home match and the away game," club president
Taiwo Ogunjobi said.

Ogunjobi, captain of the team who lost to Zamalek 12 years ago, said he
had hired a psychologist to boost the morale of the team, adding: "In
1984 we didn't have that opportunity but I think a psychologist has an
important role to play in the modern game."

Shooting Stars have set their training camp sentimentally near where the
team stayed before the 1976 African Cup Winners' Cup and 1992 CAF Cup
finals. They won both trophies and became the first
Nigerian club side to achieve the feat.

Stars comes out victorous and they will become the first Nigerian Clubside
