Illegal alien status query....

Need advice about how can I fix my residence visa to stay here.
I'm Peruvian, came to Holland invited for my boyfriend in summer 2000,
for vacation. Returned to my country and again my boyfriend invited
me over in February 2001, for 45 days... that are gone already long
time ago as you can see... we decided I should stay very naive
thinking it would be very easy to fix the things.
He went to the foreigners police to ask what shall we do and they told
him that I just have to come back, what obviously we don't want...
since then we have heard a lot of things as the convivence contract,
getting married (both of them... how with an expired visa in my
passport!), having a child (we don't want that yet, and especially not
for such a reason)... so we are in the middle of nowhere... I'm all
frustrated because I've been here for 14 months already and can not
begin to have a normal life.
Forgot to mention... I came here with my 7 years old son, who at least
is able to study, so for that I can not complain. So... what to do?
comming back to Peru might imply several months of documentation, my
son might loose another school year... he's almost 8 and is still in
group 3! too many disadvantages...
Any ideas? but reasonable ideas please...
