who are owned by men. Thus women are not allowed to leave home, and must
wear a burqa (veil) lest other men (who dont own them) see them. A woman is
a total captive of her father or husband. All control of her sexuality
resides with them. A woman may not even show her hair to other men. Islam
clearly says that if women are given freedom, then society falls prey to
vices and immorality.
The implications are clear - women are incapable of handling their own
sexuality. They are like some kind of disease that must not be allowed to
spread and must be contained within the four walls of their home. Men are
the free ones, and own the women of their society. Women have no freedom.
Of course, Islam achieves exactly the opposite of what it claims it wants
to. In Islamic society sexual perversion is rife. Because women are veiled,
even a glimpse of a woman's sock gets men very excited. A woman becomes
entirely an object of sex, and if she is outside her house it is seen as an
invitation to something immoral. Thus any normal relationship between man
and woman is not possible in Islamic countries.
All this also has a terrible impact on the intellectual level of muslim
societies. When all women are denied any kind of intellectual stimulus and
locked up at home, one half of the population cannot attain its intellectual
potential. And if a mother is intellectually weak, it is clear her children
will also suffer from lack of intellectual stimulation. This has led to a
total absense of intelligentsia in Islamic societies.
Very sadly, the position of women in pre-Islamic arabia was pretty high.
Women were often traders in the Mecca region where Mohammed lived, and his
first wife was a wealthy trader herself. Indeed, it is through her wealth
and influence that this good for nothing (but supposedly handsome) youth got
some status in Meccan society. Many scholars feel that Mohammed's diktats
for women to stay in a veil within their homes were designed in order to
control his wealthy trader wife.
If nothing else, we must abolish Islam because it is apartheid against
women. When the world united to impose sanctions against South Africa, why
are we keeping quiet when Saudi Arabia treats its women like animals (does
not let them leave home without male accomplice, does not let them drive
etc.).

"Islamic Law" = sanctioning of child molestation, pedophilia, and
domestic violence. A huge "Megan's Law" warning sign should be put up
around a good part of the Umma (community) of Islam, especially Somalia
and Saudi Arabia.

Islamic law says, "A woman, a dog, a hickory tree: the more you beat
'em, the better they be." Well, a pet owner who hits a dog would be
considered an animal abuser today and rightly so, and of course a man
who hits his wife is subhuman gutter trash (unless of course she
initiated the violence herself; there are battered husbands, although
they are not as common.)

When you see a man who is successful you will most always find that there is
a woman who helped him become successful. When the Muslims suppress their
women the Muslim men are the losers. But then Islam is a religion of
losers.
