The government even after the decision of its
nomination of new ambassadors has made a
change on this previous decision. According to reports,
Dr. Narayan Khadka was nominated as
the ambassador to China, but, after a week, another
change has been made by nominating him
as the ambassador to Russia. Rajeswar Acharya has been
nominated as the ambassador to
China. Nilambar Acharya, a NC nominee as the ambassador
to Sri Lanka will continue in his
old post. Dr Narayan Khadka, who resided abroad for a
long time, had made the contribution in
providing treatment to Krishna Prasad Bhatarai in
Canada. The appointment is a reward to
Khadka from Bhattarai's side. Accordingly, it is learnt
that Damodar Gautam designated as the
ambassador to the US, who's agreemo is yet to come, was
also rewarded for that post through
Bhattarai's pressure, it is said.
