I believe jimbu is Himalayan rosemary.
_Rosemarinus officinalis_ is the botanic name for rosemary. The Himalayan
variety gives food a distinctly different (better?) flavor than the common
rosemary herb found in US food stores. It may be available in Indian
groceries but I doubt it. One Nepali friend has it carried by hand from
Nepal! It is definitely grown in the wetter middle hill regions across
Nepal but not in the tarai or high Himal.

I don't know its botanical name. What I know about is Mahakavi Devkota
comment on Jimbu " It smells like the sweat under the lap of God Shiva"!
in his essay " Bengali Babu" in Laxmi Nibandha Sangraha, I think.
