There wasn't really much to see except a dozen or so identical
prefabricated houses and a few beat-up old pickup trucks. There was
nothing worth stopping for, and I wouldn't have wanted to stop because
everything about the place said stay the fuck out.
After leaving the reservation I passed through a small non-Indian town
with a convenience store with a
'welcome' sign, along with various other businesses and homes, none of
which were surrounded by barbed wire. The residents of this town
actually wanted travelers to stop and spend their money.
I still can't figure out what the residents of the Indian reservation
do for a living. The location would make it difficult to commute, and
they don't seem to have any economic activity at all. I don't even
know what they do for food; nearby non-Indians operate profitable
ranches and farms, but I saw no evidence of this on the reservation,
and I didn't even see tribal members out hunting and gathering.
hahahaha......... Jackass, this isn't 1492.
Were the Natives friendlier in 1492?
