"immigration" is typical of the corruption of the English language by

Here's a better idea: enforce existing US immigration laws, until said
laws can be changed to something more realistic, preferrably like
Canada's immigration laws.

Amend Section 1 of the 14th Amendment to read:
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject
to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of
the State wherein they reside, with the exception of persons born
to a parent or parent who entered the United States illegally or was
illegally resident in the United States."
Meanwhile, deport every illegal alien SOB in the country. It's a
helluva lot cheaper than supporting them and their brats on welfare.
