KUALA LUMPUR, November 12

A mother and son were fined and jailed by a Malaysian sharia court for
committing incest in the northeastern Kelantan state that is ruled by
the opposition Islamic Party (PAS), a report said Wednesday.

Religious enforcement officers had caught Hasmah Mat Adam, 49, and her
son Mazlan Yahya, 22, having sexual intercourse last month, the Star
newspaper said.

"When they reached the house they found it locked from inside. However
they managed to peep through a crack in the wooden wall of the house,"
sharia deputy public prosecutor Suratemi Mat told the court. He said the
offence, which they both admitted, was "beyond human decency and religion".

In addition to fines, Mazlan Yahya was sentenced to 20 months in jail
and his mother for three months.

Muslims, who make up 60 percent of Malaysia's 23 million people, are
subject to Islamic Sharia law which covers civil matters.

PAS has proposed introducing Islamic criminal laws prescribing
amputations and death by stoning to criminalise illicit sex, drinking
alcohol and renunciation of Islam but the government rejected it.

And why must this happen in the puritanical state of Kelantan? Obviously
something is very wrong there as a lot of incest cases involving
Muslims had been reported in that State previously.

There must be a link between incest and force-feeding of religion in a
suppressed entertainment environment.

The question is what if the woman is not his mother but they continue
peeping anyway, would that be a crime? Would "Oops, sorry, we were just
checking out a complain" be acceptable?

actually if you look at the dates when the incest was commited, it
coincided with the protruder arriving in m'sia.

as soon as the protruder arrived, it was caught having sex with his
mother. this was somthing that was predicted a long time ago.
