I have two opportunities for female modeling - posing for portraiture and posing for life-drawings. Each is a safe and comfortable way to experience and learn about modeling - and perhaps collaboratively build attractive art. Mature females in their 30's, 40's and 50's are welcome and valued - including expecting mothers.
I'm a semi-retired male university professor and former corporate consultant who is now an aspiring artist. I'm looking for one or more models who could pose for one or more sessions of 2 to 3 hours each. All sessions will take place in my home studio in Summerfield, Florida - 34491.
Please Note - this is not a solicitation for a romantic relationship, sexual partner or quick hook-up.
To pose for portraiture the female model need not be experienced. You will be sitting for drawings of your head / face and upper torso wearing outfits of your choosing and with you controlling the degree of exposure / nudity
To pose for life-drawing you should be a woman who is comfortable posing sometimes partially dressed and sometimes disrobed and, in the process, helping me create what I hope will be beautiful art. Again, no modeling experience required.
The process I use to reach finished drawings starts with photos and then sketches. This reduces the time you'll spend holding any one pose resulting in a nicely paced and more comfortable photo shoot.
Both of these modeling opportunities are non-paying. If you'd like, you'll receive a free quality, frame-able copy of your favorite drawing or all the digital proofs from your photo-session. Since the compensation won't allow you to retire early, the thought of participating in the creative process in this fashion should be something that appeals to you or that you think you might like to explore.
The ideal models for the current sessions would have a body shape and stature somewhere between trim or fit to average. In this current series of sessions I will not need male models (the focus of the last series of sessions) or heavier female models (the focus of an earlier series). And, again, experience is not necessary. You'll be given straightforward instructions and most sittings will use very relaxed poses. Age, race and ethnicity are not factors. As long as you are a woman 21 or older, I welcome your inquiry. And, again females in their 50's, 40's and 30's - including those who are expecting are welcome and especially valued.
While this is not a solicitation for a romantic or sexual partner, I would hope and expect that we might become not only co-creators of attractive art, but also friends. As corny as it may sound, I've learned that - at least for me - building a piece of art is far more interesting, exciting and successful when the artist and model are engaged in a constructive and creative collaboration.
If you are interested in exploring this further (you would be under no obligation from inquiring) I would appreciate receiving an email with any questions you have. If you are comfortable doing so, you may also include a recent photo or two. The photos should not be naked but, ideally, one of them should be full body. And please consider putting "Drawing Models" in the subject line. This will help differentiate you from the less serious inquiries I periodically receive.
Given that this opportunity is being presented in a classified ad, some skepticism on your part would be natural and is probably healthy. If this opportunity interests you I can provide references who will confirm that I am a serious and mature student of art whose sessions are both professionally focused and respectful of each model.
Both modeling opportunities offer the chance to safely and comfortably participate directly in a creative process while learning a bit more about modeling and securing a frame-able drawing of yourself.
