Same as today. Tribes with flags.
Guru Rajneesh "Osho" Baghwan would have made a better leader for your cult.

Antoun Sa3adeh is a unique phenomenom whereby many people refuse to
understand him as a person, a hero and a thinker. Some twist and
manipulate facts so purposely in the hopes of getting their wrong
message about him and his ideology afloat, even for a very short
while.

Thanks Reem and Ramzi :-)

Middle east non-changes if Antun Saadeh was left to live a normal
life:

-Yassino would still be working as a serf.
-Fattoum would still looking for a husband who can afford her.
-Abu Kalabsha would still be torturing his prisoners.
-Ghawar would still be stealing and scamming to survive.
-Abu Antar would still carrying his knife defending the regime.
-And Hosni would be still working on his unfinished song.
-and none of them could afford to raise a decent family or lead a
comfortable life.

Nothing would have changed with or without Antoun Saadeh. These Tribes
deserve that much and your cult couldn't even agree on a single SSNP
let alone a whole region.

If you want to objective, you can look at the track records of others who
started life out as reformers in the Middle East: Michel Aflak (and the
story of the two Baaths), Nasser and the rise and fall of Nassirism.

Different people will "understand" Antoun Sa3adeh differently. In the end,
people are more often judged by their actions than by their words or

Who gives an onion peel about the Middle East. Imagine how Lebanon
would look like if the men of the independence period worked for
Lebanon instead of their selfish interests. Where would we be today
had the men of the independence worked instead to the further the bond
between their fellow Lebanese and work for the betterment of their
community, not the sectarian community, or the same-skull-size community,
but the community of Lebanese.

Just about every political group laments what if their man had
been able to succeed, from Saadeh to Aoun, through Geagea and Eddeh Etc.
No one political group is able to look beyond the person of the za@eem.
You know what, if the Za@eem had truly inspired something bigger than
himself then the party members would not be lamenting the what-ifs
surrounding the demise of the Za@eem but rather would be celebrating the
dream he inspired. A big Za@eem is not the one who dies on the cross.
A big Za@eem is the one who passes the baton to someone of a younger
generation while he is alive and thriving and says to the person, I did my
best now it is your turn to carry on.

Every President since the occupation regime has tried in one way or another
to extend his reign. Hrawi changed the constitution to give himself three
more years. Lahood is trying. Berry is entitled (or so he thinks) to be
speaker for life. Hariri is in his own kingdom. Where is the man with
leadership quality to stop hanging on and let someone else with fresh blood
try another, perhaps better, idea?

I heard Yassino and Fattoum HeessBeess are planning a coming out party
to declare his SSNP cult membership. As for Hosni al Bourazan he is
still composing the new SSNP hymn. Again it such shocking news the

You probably need some Irzal soil to calm down. SSNP cult doctors are
prescribing it now. I can't pass a chance at making fun of your SSNP
cult fellowship. And Ghawar al Toshi and this Ghazal Reem provided me
with some material to poke fun at your cult. As with my high
education, the ultimate education is where u stand when it comes to
your country and unlike your cult, I do believe in Lebanon as an
eternal indpendent free and democratic country. Yalla rou7 il3ab ya

wildest dreams. Dream on you SSNP cult suckers.

Why would I be disappointed? *You* should be disappointed about your
unwillingness to be objective. That aside, any party that fails to meet its
alleged goals in the absence of its leader, is a party that was doomed to
failure. Message and appeal are stronger than individual personalities, and
when those two things cannot materialize, all you're left with is a cult.
The SSNP during the Saade days was insignificant, and it remains so today.

What's not objective in my post? What can you dispute? 1) that if a party's
message and appeal must survive the passing of its founder(s)? 2) that the
SSNP is insignificant. I base that on numerical representation both among
the Lebanese (its strongest base) population and Parliament as well as among
the people of the Levant (and these are the people that the party targets),
where it enjoys much lower support. 3) That the SSNP today resembles a cult
with Saade as the Messiah (for a sample, see all the articles covering the
Irzal and the soil it stood on, as well as all the articles trying to paint
a picture of Saade that is bigger than life). Don't shoot the messenger!

Then you don't mind explaining how you reached the conclusion that the SSNP
scares me (other than I'm generally terrified of the horrible effect cults
can have on people)

Yes, you have kicked the heck out of the Lebanese. Be proud of that.
